A German doctor was sentenced on Monday to two years and nine months in prison for reportedly issuing mask exemptions for over 4,000 people during the COVID-19 Plandemic.
A regional court in the southwestern town of Weinheim confirmed Tuesday that the doctor was convicted for “issuing incorrect health certificates” to people throughout Germany.
The court claimed that the doctor did not meet or examine most of the individuals.

The Associated Press provided further details:
In addition to the prison sentence she was handed a three-year work ban and ordered to pay 28,000 euros ($29,550), the sum she had received for issuing the medical certificates. Her office assistant was fined 2,700 euros.
“The process is more reminiscent of a sale of certificates than a medical procedure,” the court said in a statement. It noted that she was not faulted for providing certificates to her existing patients.
During the trial the defendant had argued that wearing masks was harmful to people’s health.

The doctor's legal team argued that their client had acted for ethical reasons due to the harms presented by face masks.
According to lawyers, the doctor plans to appeal the conviction.
According to German outlet SWR, demonstrators gathered outside the court to protest the doctor's conviction.
On the day of the trial on Monday, around 150 people had gathered in front of the district court in Weinheim (Rhein-Neckar district). According to the police, it was a registered demonstration. The demonstrators carried placards with inscriptions such as: "Human dignity is inviolable" or "The corona measures harm the weakest and are of no use to anyone".

The defense attorney called the whole ordeal a "terror process" and drew Nazi comparisons to the "totalitarian corona regime."
