Rittenhouse Defense Says Kyle Is In Therapy For PTSD

The Kyle Rittenhouse trial has divided the country.

Everyone seems to have their own opinion on what happened. As someone who has been watching the trial very closely, I can say that it has been filled with both emotion and surprise….

Like Judge Schroeder “taking the prosecution to the woodshed” numerous times, and the damning testimony that came by way of Mr.Grosskreutz.

Rittenhouse also broke down while he was testifying, and many people pointed out his breakdown to be consistent with classic signs of PTSD…

Today those observations proved to be true. During the court proceedings the defense confirmed that Kyle Rittenhouse is currently going through therapy for PTSD:

Law & Crime reports:

“Have you ever been treated for a mental or emotional disorder?” Schroeder asked.

Rather than immediately answer “yes,” as he had done to other questions, Rittenhouse turned to speak to his attorney.

“His pause,” Richards said, “was, I believe, because he’s in therapy. I don’t think he has a mental illness or anything. As a result of this incident, he has PTSD.”

“But that doesn’t affect his judgment or reasoning power at all?” Schroeder asked.

Richards and Rittenhouse both said it did not.

Breitbart writes:

Rittenhouse was mocked on the left earlier this week for breaking down on the witness stand when asked to describe the encounter on Aug. 25, 2020, when he shot several Black Lives Matter rioters who were pursuing him.
