Judge In Rittenhouse Trial Takes Prosecutor To The Woodshed As Emotion Packed Day Continues

The Rittenhouse trial has certainly had some emotional moments today.

During questioning earlier this afternoon while recounting the night in Kenosha, Kyle Rittenhouse became incredibly emotional. He was struggling mightily and the Judge eventually called for a break.

After resuming the trial, things got quite heated when the Prosecutor in the case starting showing his rear to the Judge, who proceeded to take him to the woodshed over his attitude.

From Fox News:

The judge presiding over Kyle Rittenhouse’s trial scolded the prosecutor during a fiery exchange on Wednesday during crossexamination.

“Don’t get brazen with me,” Judge Bruce Schroeder told prosecutor Thomas Binger in the courtroom.

The exchange came after Binger asked Rittenhouse a series of questions regarding whether he knows that deadly force can not be used to protect property.

The judge soon asked the jury to exit the courtroom.

Schroeder accused Binger of improperly trying to introduce testimony that he had earlier said he was not inclined to include. Rittenhouse attorney Mark Richards also suggested Binger might be attempting to provoke a mistrial.

“I was astonished when you began your examination by commenting on the defendant’s post-arrest silence. That’s basic law. It’s been basic law in this country for 40 years. 50 years. I have no idea why you would do something like that,” Schroeder told Binger.

“You know very well that an attorney can’t go into these types of areas when the judge has already ruled without asking outside the presence of the jury to do so. So don’t give me that. That’s number one,” the judge added to Binger.

“Number two. This is propensity evidence. I said at the time that I made by ruling and I’ll repeat again now for you. I see no similarity between talking about wishing you had your AR gun, which you don’t have, so that you can take … fire fire rounds with these thought-to-be shoplifters and the incidence in these cases.”

I was watching live when this happened and I will say, this Prosecutor was getting pretty shameless in his questioning.

It was incredibly obvious that his line of questioning was a real stretch. Not to mention the prosecution tried pulling a fast one on the Court.

Have a look:

There was also a long line of questioning where the Prosecutor went down some ridiculous rabbit hole about hollow point ammunition versus full metal jacket.

It was quite clear he has no idea what he is talking about. Which to those of us who have been around firearms our entire lives, comes off as incredibly cringe to hear him try to spin the semantics.

For example he tried to demonstrate his expertise by saying that hollow point projectiles were designed to enter it’s intended target and “explode”.

Expanding outwards it what I think you were looking for, buddy.

Not quite sure where he was going with all that and neither did the Judge.

This is absolutely hilarious:

This is not the first time this Judge has laid into someone.

Last week, he gave CNN a lashing for their usual tricks:

Per usual, the Washington Post is panicking now that the Prosecutor got busted for acting like a total moron.

Keep watching, it’s been crazy!
