The Audit In Maricopa County, Arizona Has Been PAUSED

The ongoing audit of the 2020 presidential election results has been paused in Maricopa County, Arizona

There’s nothing to fear though, the pause is said to be temporarily and the audit will resume on May 24th.

The reason for the temporary pause is due to the fact that several high schools graduations will take place at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Currently right now the audit is only 25% finished and is expected to to be complete sometime in June.

The audit is taking longer than expected due to the fact the forensic team performing the audit are looking for creases, folds and putting the ballots under UV lights to make sure each ballot is legitimate.

CBS News covered the story, check out what they said:

The Republican-led Arizona state Senate audit of the 2020 election in the state’s most populous county will have to be paused on Friday because the firms conducting the review of ballots must clear the facility being used so that high school graduations can take place in the venue.

Despite prior multiple state audits that found no issues of concern in the 2020 election, the Arizona Senate ordered another review, taking possession of Maricopa County’s nearly 2.1 million ballots and almost 400 election machines by subpoena earlier this year. The audit is being run by companies that include one whose CEO promoted debunked election fraud theories after the election.

The ballots and equipment will need to be stored until workers can return to the facility next weekend. About 25% of the ballots have been reviewed so far.

AZ Central had more details to add;

The floor of Veterans Memorial Coliseum was largely empty Friday after three weeks of people recounting Maricopa County’s general election ballots.

They made it through just less than a quarter of the 2.1 million ballots in that time, despite originally planning to wrap up the Arizona Senate-ordered audit today.

Instead, the ballots and equipment are being hauled to the Wesley Bolin Building on the south end of the state fairgrounds, west of the cattle barns. After a week of high school graduations at the coliseum, the recount is expected to pick back up there on May 24 and run through June.

I guess we’ll still have to patiently a little bit longer until the truth is revealed in Arizona.
