Bruce Springsteen: I’ll Be “On The Next Plane” To Australia If Donald Trump Is Re-elected

It looks like Bruce Springsteen is planning to move to Australia in November.

Bruce Springsteen the singer/songwriter who received fame after his 1975 album “Born To Run” has come out and said what almost every celebrity said in 2016.

He said I’ll be “on the next plane” to Australia if Trump wins said Springsteen in a recent interview.

I say we should call him on his bluff just like every other celebrity who never left after saying they were going to leave the United States if Trump got elected in 2016.

The Daily Mail covered Springsteen’s comments and had this to add:

‘If Trump is re-elected – which he will not, they’re predicting right now he’s going to lose – but if by some happenstance he should, I’ll see you on the next plane,’ he said.

Springsteen, known for his hits Born in the USA, Dancing in the Dark and Streets of Philadelphia, said in an Esquire profile in November 2018 that President Trump ‘has no interest in uniting the country’.

‘Actually [Trump] has an interest in doing the opposite and dividing us, which he does on an almost daily basis,’ he added.

Our friends over at Fox News covered the story too:

Bruce Springsteen isn’t looking forward to the possibility of President Trump’s reelection.

The 71-year-old rocker recently spoke with the Australian press via a virtual chat, and he said that should the election favor Trump, he might not stick around the US.

When first asked whether he’d ever consider a move to Australia, Springsteen said, “I would consider that,” according to the Daily Telegraph and the Daily Mail.

“I love Australia,” he continued. “Every time, we have nothing but good times down there. It’s always a treat to come. Love the people, love the geography, great place for motorcycle trips, it’s close to our hearts.”

The star then added of a potential move, “If Trump is re-elected – which he will not be; I’m predicting right now he’s gonna lose – if by some happenstance he should be, I’ll see you on the next plane,” Springsteen stated.

Context: It should be noted that, while it’s unclear how exactly they know this, and there is no video or audio evidence given to to accurately judge tone or whether he was joking, Lead Stories has determined Bruce was “clearly only kidding”.

Hey, you’re a smart reader….draw your own conclusion!

I’ve reported the story and I’ve given the “Lead Stories context”.

I report, you decide!

I know one thing….I won’t lose any sleep if Bruce Springsteen moves to Australia if Trump wins.

He should probably start packing now!
