Former Secret Service member and Conservative Radio host Dan Bongino recently discovered that he had a cancerous tumor in his neck.
Many of us around the country appreciate his honest, no pulled punches approach to his job.
That includes President Donald Trump.
Before Dan went in for surgery last week, President Trump called him to offer his support.

Conservative radio host Dan Bongino said that President Trump called him to offer support moments before he walked into surgery to remove a tumor from his neck.
"The president called before I went into surgery," Bongino told his radio audience on Thursday. “I'm not kidding. That's the kind of guy he is."
“He’s just a wonderful guy,” Bongino continued. “And it’s a shame that gets lost in all the media hysteria about him. Just an amazing guy.”
Bongino expressed gratitude the president reached out even though he was sick himself and stricken with the coronavirus.
“He’s sick himself, or was, and he’s concerned about me,” Bongino said. “He didn’t even rush me off the phone. Just an amazing guy.”
Earlier this week, Bongino updated his fans about his recent medical scare involving a tumor in his neck that he believes is lymphoma."
In addition to the call, President Trump also gave Dan's program and website a shout out on Twitter!

Bongino thanked his fans for showing him love as he underwent surgery for his tumor, and thus wasn’t able to promote his book.
“We had a stellar week last week,” Bongino said on-air today. Thank you again for [helping the sales of] my book. You guys and ladies out there are amazing. I did no PR obviously because of the medical procedure. You drove [the book] to number 3 on Amazon my new book Follow the Money. Thank you all, sincerely. It means the world to me. You’re such a great audience."
