82-Year-Old Trump Supporter, Veteran Attacked by 27-Year-Old Aidan Courtright, Investigators Claim

It wasn't enough for Aidan Courtright to shove the 82-year-old veteran to the ground.

Courtright began kicking Chase and allegedly body slammed him.

A Fall River man is facing charges that include a civil rights violation for allegedly assaulting an 82-year-old supporter of President Donald Trump. The victim, Air Force veteran Charles Chase, told police he was holding a pro-Trump sign Tuesday when he was violently attacked.

“The guy when he came at me, I have never seen a horror story that the face was so filled with hate and anger as his was,” Chase said. “I was just frozen.”

Fall River police said that 27-year-old Aidan Courtright got out of his car approached Chase at the rotary of North Main Street and Airport Road, screaming “Give me the f—ing sign!”

“Courtright then forcefully ripped the sign out of the victim’s hands, ripped it in half, and threw it on the ground,” police said. “Courtright then went after the victim, grabbing him by his shirt, knocking his hat off, and throwing him violently to the ground.”

Authorities said Courtright kicked the man “with leather pointed shoes,” while he was on the ground, and then drove away. Chase was taken to a hospital to be treated for bruising.

“I didn’t know that he had lifted me up, but he apparently lifted me up and flung me down on my back on the ground,” Chase said.

Police said two independent witnesses saw the attack and corroborated Chase’s story.

Fortunately, witnesses were present, which will help the case move along quickly.

Chase as well as the bystanders believe that the attack was politically motivated.

Democrats and their allies in the media regularly accuse Trump of inciting violence, but the reality is that the left wing radicals have repeatedly attacked law abiding, peaceful Trump supporters.

Fortunately, Chase survived with non life-threatening injuries.

He mostly suffered bruises on his back.

Local WHDH news has more comments from Chase, who believes he was attacked for simply being a Trump supporter.

“The guy jumped at me,” Chace explained. “He lifted me up and then body slammed me.”

Courtright allegedly proceeded to kick him in the ribs and legs while wearing leather-pointed shoes.

He then got back in his vehicle and drove off, police said.

Chace stated that he believed that he was targeted and attacked because of his political beliefs. Talking about his experience, he got emotional.

“I think it comes from the love I have for the country and why we are treating each other like this,” he said. “It tears me up.”

Two independent witnesses observed the attack and reportedly corroborated the Chace’s version of the events.

Chace, who police say had visible bruising on his lower back, was transported to Charlton Memorial Hospital for an evaluation.

“I just want America to get back to being America again,” he said. “I want both parties to stop dividing people.”

Courtright was contacted by police and later turned himself over to authorities at the Fall River police station.

He is facing multiple charges, including civil rights violation with injury, assault and battery on a person over 60, vandalism of personal property, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Chace served in the Air Force in the 50s and said he has seen a lot — but this experience was unlike any other.

“This is the worst I’ve ever seen – that guy’s eyes, his face,” he said. “I mean it was so scary.”

Though left-wing radicals are protesting the very existance of police forces, this is exactly why we need them: to keep us safe!

Thankfully, the local police department did its job quickly.

The attacker is in custody!
