David Alcon was arrested for felony stalking in New Mexico today, potentially ending his run for Congress on the Democratic ticket.

Alcon, it has come to light, was previously arrested for stalking a woman in 2007, but received the full blessing of the New Mexico Democratic Party.

The response from the media?

Chirp, chirp, chirp.

According to a survey of all air-time, the big 5 – ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CNN have given absolutely zero mention of the story. Zilch. Nada.

More from Daily Caller:

The story has been met with silence from a number of media outlets despite their breathless coverage of the sexual assault scandal surrounding Alabama U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore.

According to a search of the television database TV Eyes, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and NBC have given zero on-air coverage to Alcon’s arrest. The networks have also not published any stories about Alcon’s scandal on their websites in the past week.

Meanwhile, ABC, CBS, and NBC spent more than 79 minutes talking about Roy Moore between November 9 and November 13.

The accusations against Moore are serious and worth covering–but so are the allegations against Alcon.

The woman who reported Alcon to the police said he sent her messages telling her he loved her and wanted to have children with her and sent her photos of his genitals. She also said he showed up outside of her apartment after the messages were sent.

In his previous stalking conviction, Alcon was accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home, of leaving notes and flowers on the ex’s truck, and of sprinkling rose petals on her porch the morning before his trial began. Alcon served three years probation for his crimes.

“It was just unbelievable to me, David,” state District Judge Michael Vigil said before Alcon’s sentencing. “That is creepy. That is scary for a person. You would not go away. Violence takes a lot of different forms. [What you did] was a form of violence to the victim.”

Remember folks, the DNC Swamp is slimiest of all!
