James O’Keefe is the heart and soul of Project Veritas

This is why news of his suspension and potential removal as C.E.O. of the investigative reporting outlet sent shockwaves throughout the conservative community.

The timing of O’Keefe’s suspension and potential ouster was incredibly suspect and came directly following a seismic admission from a Pfizer employee.

In response to this, an outpouring of support for James O’Keefe came from conservative pundits, influencers, and private individuals:

According to Trending Politics, the backlash was extremely effective and O’Keefe will not be removed as CEO or permanently sanctioned:

The speculation was widely mocked online as users came to the defense of O’Keefe, arguing that Project Veritas would cease to exist without him.

It appears that the backlash was effective.

Project Veritas says James O’Keefe has not been removed from the organization and will remain as CEO,” Benny Johnson announced on Twitter.

Project Veritas recently confirmed via this official statement:

Previously, New York Magazine reported:

James O’Keefe, the founder and chairman of Project Veritas, has taken a paid leave from the conservative nonprofit media organization as its board considers whether to remove him from his leadership position, according to current and former employees of the organization.

An internal message sent to Project Veritas employees by the organization’s executive director, Daniel Strack, said that O’Keefe would be taking “a few weeks of well-deserved PTO.”

An image of the message was shared by a source familiar with the organization’s internal operations, and its authenticity was confirmed by a current employee.
