CANADA: Viral Video Claims Dairy Farmer Forced to Dump Excess Milk By Government to Keep Prices High (WATCH)

A TikTok video featuring a Southern Ontario dairy farmer named Jerry Huigen has gone viral across numerous social media platforms for exposing the Canadian government’s systematic plan to keep milk prices high.

In the video, Huigen explains how he is forced by government authorities to dump excess milk when the farm produces above its quota.

“Right now we’re over our quota. It’s regulated by the government and by the DFO. But the problem is what they don’t understand is millions of people, look at this milk running away, it’s the end of the month and I have to dump 30,000 litres of milk,” Huigen explained.

“It breaks my heart,” he added.

Huigen stated that Canadian milk is $7 per litre.

He said the farm has no say, and the government forces them to dump milk above their quota.

“This time I’m going public. I want the people to see the pain that us growers have,” Huigen stated.

“365 days as a little boy we grew up on a dairy farm. Came from Europe. Work, work, work. And here we are, this is what’s happening.”

This is socialism exposed in real time!

As National Post explained, this isn’t new in Canada:

Milk-dumping has actually been a regular feature of the Canadian dairy sector for at least the last 50 years, and it is done very deliberately to maintain high prices for Canadian milk.

Ever since the 1970s, Canadian dairy farmers have been subject to a state-sanctioned cartel that artificially limits supply in order to drive up prices and ensure profitability for farmers.

Each month, the Canadian Dairy Commission dictates the precise amount of milk to be produced in Canada, which is then observed via a strict system of production quotas across the country’s 10,000 dairy farms.

“There are disciplines in place to ensure that producers do not produce excess of their quotas,” reads an official fact sheet published by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture.

“The PPC is the only party that proposes to abolish this costly and wasteful supply management system, while compensating farmers for the lost value of quotas. All the other parties are in the pocket of the dairy mafia,” PPC (People’s Party of Canada) Leader Maxime Bernier said.
