Nancy Pelosi Faces Backlash for Racist Comments on Illegal Immigrants

Nancy Pelosi apparently let slip her own priorities for allowing millions of illegal immigrants in to the United States.

According to Pelosi, the immigrants are needed to pick crops in Florida…

Yes, that’s what she said.

Pelosi was seemingly taking aim at governors in southern states who have bussed illegal immigrants to other parts of the country.

In some twisted way, she appeared to be walking a line of both border security and openness to the migrants..

It did not come out the way she intended:

“The fact is, is that, uh, we have a responsibility to secure our border. We also have a responsibility to recognize the importance of newcomers to our nation.” Pelosi claimed.

She then admitted that the country does indeed need “comprehensive immigration reform.”

She continued, “We have a shortage of workers in our country, and you see even in Florida some of the farmers and the growers saying, ‘Why are you shipping these immigrants up north? We need them to pick the crops down here.’”

Well, tell us how you REALLY feel Nancy.

Fox News reported on nervous Nancy’s latest slip of the tongue:

Responding to a question about the topic during the press conference, Pelosi began by admitting that there needs to be both border security and openness to migrants. She said, “The fact is, is that, uh, we have a responsibility to secure our border. We also have a responsibility to recognize the importance of newcomers to our nation. Right now the best thing we can do for our economy is have comprehensive immigration reform.”

She then added, “We have a shortage of workers in our country, and you see even in Florida some of the farmers and the growers saying, ‘Why are you shipping these immigrants up north? We need them to pick the crops down here.’”

Pelosi continued, “But that doesn’t mean that we don’t recognize our moral responsibility as well.”

Pelosi received furious backlash on Twitter — with many accusing her of suggesting the US should take open its borders to take advantage of “cheap foreign labor.”

Arizona GOP Rep. Andy Biggs tweeted: “It’s clear Pelosi and Democrats are exploiting illegal aliens and only view them as cheap labor.”

Other critics accused Pelosi of racism for stereotyping migrants as farm workers.

“Nancy Pelosi thinks immigrants should be picking crops,” the Republican National Committee’s RNC Latinos Twitter account posted. “When Democrats show you their true colors, believe them.”

“Hard to believe immigrants who have become American citizens are starting to vote Republican when the leader of the congressional Democrat party views them only as fruit pickers,” tweeted Republican consultant Nathan Wurtzel.

When democrats tell you who they really are, pay attention.

They have this bad habit of letting the truth slip by in the worst ways.
