OUTRAGE: Shannon Brandt Walks Free

In this country, if you kill a conservative you are let out on less money than it takes to purchase a BMW.

Shannon Brandt, a 41-year-old, admitted to running over and killing 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson. Ellingson’s only crime? Being a Trump supporter.

We are all Cayler Ellingson.

The thing that truly makes me angry, aside from the slaying of an innocent boy at the hands of a grown man, was the legal response to his alleged crime.

After admitting to running over Ellingson, Brandt was promptly released on $50,000 bail…

This seems to be a pattern in this country. The crime, the lackadaisical punishment, everything. If Brandt had killed a teen wearing a communist T-shirt with the phrase “Black Lives Matter”, he would have been branded as Hitler…

He would have been remanded to custody—no bail and promptly given a death sentence.

There is a double standard of justice in this country.

Here’s what we currently know:

The New York Post confirmed:

Shannon Brandt, 41, spent just days in a Stutsman County Jail on criminal charges related to the death of 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson before he posted his $50,000 and was released, according to county jail records.

Brandt’s listed attorney could not be reached by phone and did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s email inquiry.

Mia Cathell writes via Town Hall:

The political violence in the Upper Midwest region of America comes weeks after President Joe Biden’s divisive, anti-MAGA speech in the City of Brotherly Love declared war on Republican voters nationwide.

With an authoritarian-esque backdrop of blood-red lighting and flanking Marines, the Democratic U.S. president’s rhetoric accused Trump supporters of harboring “anger,” spreading “chaos,” and living in the “shadow of lies.”
