Is Nancy Pelosi already looking for another job in case Democrats lose the House of Representatives this November?
According to reports, Pelosi wants to be Ambassador to Italy.
The report also states this is one of the reasons Joe Biden hasn’t filled the position.

The ambassador’s residence, Villa Taverna, has a pool, private gardens and a three-story wine cellar.
Fox Business reported:
Sources tell FOX Business that Pelosi wants President Biden to nominate her to become the next U.S. ambassador to Italy if the GOP takes the House majority in the midterm elections.
Biden is holding the spot for the speaker, sources say, which is one reason he has yet to fill the position since taking office. Speculation earlier this year that a Pelosi ally and former Wall Street executive wanted the job has shifted with the increasing likelihood that the GOP takes the majority.
There was no clarity yet on how a new Senate will react to a Pelosi nomination, but there was a mixed reaction to her in the role from sources this week.
So far, 101 Biden ambassador nominees have been confirmed by the Senate, but Biden has been slow to name ambassadors to several countries, including Italy.
About a quarter (27%) of the 194 ambassador positions are currently without a Senate-confirmed official.
The New York Post added:
The speaker’s future plans have long been a subject of DC speculation. Last year, rumors were rife in the nation’s capital that Biden would nominate Pelosi to the post of ambassador to the Vatican. Those rumors were quashed in October when the president tapped former Indiana Sen. Joe Donnelly for the job.
At the time, Pelosi spokesman Drew Hammill responded to the speculation by tweeting to journalist Jake Sherman: “It’s not a rumor when you’ve been told repeatedly it’s false.”
When contacted by The Post Tuesday, Hammill dismissed the FBN report as “utter nonsense.”
“The Speaker has no interest in this position and has not discussed it with anyone in the White House,” he said.
