I really wouldn’t want to live in New York City, especially with people like democrat mayor Eric Adams running things.

He has not exactly inspired confidence in citizens concerned about the influx of illegal immigrants into the city, which has resulted in an increased population in homeless shelters.

Last week, mayor Adams admitted that the situation has become a “real burden” on New Yorkers.

However, in a recent press conference, he also told them that that they will just have to share in that burden.

“This is an opportunity for New Yorkers to move away from ‘not in my backyard.’ We all must share the crisis.” claimed Adams.

“Our schools are going to be impacted. Our healthcare system is going to be impacted.” he continued.

So…

‘Sorry about your luck’ is the general message here…

Last week, Adams admitted that this has put “a real burden on New Yorkers.”

The Washington Times reported on the mayor’s concerns, including his claim last Tuesday that more than 2,800 “asylum seekers” had entered NYC homeless shelters in recent weeks:

Some of the country’s bluest cities say they are filling up with illegal immigrants and need federal cash to help them accommodate everyone.

New York Mayor Eric Adams made his plea Tuesday. He said his city has had more than 2,800 “asylum seekers” entering homeless shelters in recent weeks.

“We are calling on the federal government to partner with New York City as we help asylum seekers navigate this process, and to provide financial and technical resources,” he said in a statement asking Uncle Sam for the handout.

Adams, like other democrats, has tried to blame Texas governor Greg Abbott for the immigration influx.

Abbott hit back at Adams on Twitter, pointing out that Joe Biden’s open borders policies are truly to blame.

Daily Wire reports:

Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) blasted New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) for appearing to suggest the governor is a coward for sending migrants by bus to Washington, D.C.

Abbott issued the searing response in a press release and posted to Twitter on Friday.

“Mayor Adams’ problem is not with Texas. It is with President Biden’s refusal to stop this border crisis and secure our southern border,” Abbott wrote.

“President Biden’s open border policies created this ongoing humanitarian crisis, allowing record-high illegal crossings and deadly drugs like fentanyl to flood into our state. A crisis that has overrun and overwhelmed our border towns and communities across our state, whose requests for help have gone ignored and unanswered by the Biden Administration,” he added.

It seems to me that Adams simply just realized that illegal immigration is a legit concern for the country…
