NYC Will Now Allow Non US Citizens To Vote In Elections

Elections have just turned more fraudulent in New York City.

New York’s City Council in a 33-14 vote officially made it legal for foreign nationals who reside in New York City to vote in local elections.

Non-US citizens who reside in New York City can now vote for city council members, mayoral elections and other small local elections.

Over 800,000 foreign nationals are now eligible to vote even though they are citizens of other countries.

Breitbart covered the story, check out what they reported:

Democrats on the New York City Council voted with a veto-proof majority to give nearly a million foreign nationals the right to vote in local elections on Thursday evening.

The 51-member panel voted 33-14, with two abstentions, to pass a plan by Councilman Ydanis Rodriguez (D-Manhattan) that will give more than 800,000 foreign nationals with green cards, visas, and work permits the opportunity to vote in city-wide elections so long as they have resided in the city for at least 30 consecutive days.

“We have made history today,” Rodriguez wrote in a statement. “Nearly 1 Million non-citizen immigrant New Yorkers will be allowed to participate in our City’s election!”

The New York State Republican Party issued a statement indicating that they will file a lawsuit to get the plan thrown out, citing that the state’s constitution is explicitly clear that voting is a right guaranteed only to American citizens.

“Today’s irresponsible vote by New York City Democrats to give the sacred right to vote to over 800,000 non-citizens is a dangerous attack on our election integrity,” NYGOP Chairman Nick Langworthy said.

Fox News reported the story too:

The New York City Council on Thursday approved a measure to allow the nearly 800,000 legal non-citizens in the metropolis to vote in municipal elections.

The measure, which would affect green card holders and those with work authorizations, doesn’t include state or federal elections and people in the country illegally would not be allowed to vote, according to FOX 5 in New York City.

The city would be the largest to allow non-citizens to vote.

The New York State Republican Party last week vowed it would take legal action if necessary to stop the measure.

“We pledge action, legal or otherwise, any means necessary to stop this dangerous legislation from undermining our elections,” party chairman Nick Langworthy said.

Langworthy said it would “allow foreign powers … the ability to influence U.S. elections.”

If this trend continues it won’t be long before it’s legal for foreign nationals to vote in Federal elections too.
