BREAKING: Multiple People Shot In D.C. Including Police Officer

Father’s Day turned disastrous in Washington DC.

According to reports from D.C. Police Department, “several people” have been shot near the junction of 14th and U Streets in the Northwest neighborhood.

After 8 o’clock in the evening, the initial report of the gunshot in the vicinity of a “Moechella” event, which was a downtown Juneteenth celebration.

The number of victims who were shot during the incident could not be determined by the department’s spokespeople.

It was determined however one of the victims shot was a police officer on duty.

Multiple people, including a police officer, have been shot in a Washington, D.C., neighborhood Sunday night, the D.C. Metropolitan Police said.

The incident took place near 14th and U streets Northwest, in a popular area filled with stores, restaurants and bars.

The area also played host to “Moechella,” a free concert celebrating Juneteenth.

D.C. police reported an earlier, separate incident at the concert, where multiple minors were injured during a fight.

Fox News got the scoop too:

A shooting in Washington D.C. on Sunday has left multiple people injured, including one police officer.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police Department told Fox News that multiple people were shot, including one police officer, during a shooting on U Street.

Video from the scene of the shooting shows officials helping multiple people lying on the street.

The shooting happened during Moechella, which is described as an “Advocacy Festival Amplifying the Culture of Washington DC.”

As of now police are still looking for the suspect who pulled the trigger.
