Joe Biden and other far-left politicians have relentlessly pushed for vaccine mandates over the past year.
While supporters say it is the best way to protect society from COVID-19, critics insist that the risks might outweigh the benefits.
One such skeptic is Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), who has presided over two congressional hearings meant to shed light on the issue.
The most recent panel discussion addressed the most recent concerns surrounding COVID-19 vaccine safety and efficacy.

As Johnson explained in a statement on his own official website:
A fundamental of medical ethics is that people have the right to choose or refuse treatment. No one should be pressured, coerced, or fear reprisal for refusing treatment, including the Covid-19 vaccine. Unfortunately, I’ve been hearing accounts repeatedly from around the country that companies are forcing employees to make difficult decisions. As if the pandemic weren’t bad enough, we’ve politicized it to the breaking point. My hope is that the testimonials below will open people’s eyes and repair the damage and restore individual freedom before it’s too late.
A growing number of politicians and pundits have been speaking out against vaccine mandates for various reasons.
Much of this discussion has played out on social media platforms like Twitter.
Alex Berenson tells Fox viewers: “The mRNA COVID vaccines need to be withdrawn from the market. No one should get them. No one should get boosted. No one should get double boosted. They are a dangerous and ineffective product at this point.” pic.twitter.com/fq6fPSdafO

For his part, the recent Senate panel discussion was not the first time Johnson has spoken out against vaccine mandates.
During a press conference in June, he expressed frustration that certain statistics were not receiving much media attention.
CNN provided the highlights of his remarks:
Johnson argued that while most people don’t suffer significant side effects following vaccination, he is concerned about “that small minority that are suffering severe symptoms.” He pointed again and again to the number of reported deaths in the federal Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System in setting up his argument warning against the vaccines.
But, even while citing its figures, Johnson correctly said the system “does not prove causation or necessarily even correlation.”
During last month’s hearing on Capitol Hill, Johnson welcomed the views of skeptical medical experts including Dr. Robert Malone and Dr. Peter McCullough.
According to Clark County Today:
Malone said vaccine mandates for children are completely unjustified because children are statistically at zero risk of serious adverse effects from COVID while the vaccines pose risks to their immediate and long term health.
“Our public policies managing COVID have had a particularly strong adverse effect on our children,” he said.
McCullough contested the claim by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and academic institutions that vaccination is associated with a decrease in hospitalization.
In recent days, he noted, the CDC has cited five papers that show vaccination is associated with a reduction in hospitalization, even in the omicron wave.
Take a look at a few of the most enlightening moments from the Senate panel hearing.
