Should Chris Cuomo get a dime from CNN?
Now Chris Cuomo reportedly claims that he is entitled to up to $60 million from CNN—citing that former network head Jeff Zucker knew about their close relationship at the time, and that he was helping his brother to combat the allegations.
Whether or not this is true doesn’t really affect what Chris Cuomo is accused of doing. Whether or not Zucker knew what was going on doesn’t absolve Chris of the fact that he was using his position to unfairly help his brother.
People expect the news to be fair and objective—even from CNN, and even though mainstream media fails to live up to this standard time and time again, it is still the standard by which we judge.
A nationally recognized anchor from a global news network should not be using his position at the network to aid anyone for any reason—they should simply be disseminating news to the public.
CNN’s ratings continue to plummet with some reports suggesting a drop-off of up to 90% of their viewership, and amid all the recent scandals, fake news, and the manufacturing of consent for the state it isn’t very hard to see why.
Here’s what people are saying:
Being able to witness the fall of so many people who tried so hard to take President Trump down is just glorious 🤣

Page Six featured the story originally from The New York Post:
One source said: “Chris insists he never did anything for his brother Andrew that Zucker didn’t know about.
“His camp believes Zucker wasn’t fired for an inappropriate relationship with Allison Gollust. Everybody knew about that and nobody cared.
“What he believes happened is WarnerMedia found something in their investigation into Chris, perhaps internal memos or documents which revealed more about Zucker’s involvement with Andrew Cuomo. Gollust was just a convenient excuse.”
Lemon could barely contain his hate towards Chris Cuomo during a CNN meeting on Monday.
“What message it sends to the journalists in this company & to the larger public, that someone can break these journalistic standards and then get paid handsomely?”https://t.co/sxrE4xLctx pic.twitter.com/qkDYRappcw

Chris Cuomo wants big money for being fired from CNN. He’s seeking $60 million, because he believes his career has been ruined. A payout of his CNN contract would net him “only” $18 million. He’s reportedly telling friends he wants “Megyn Kelly money”, who left NBC with $69 mil. pic.twitter.com/OB8wquu37Q

Daily Mail adds:
During a meeting between Kilar and CNN’s DC newsroom last week, host Jake Tapper alluded to the theory that Cuomo leaked information about Zucker’s relationship with an executive to secure a better exit package, according to New York Times media reporter Michael Grynbaum.
‘An outsider observer might say, well it looks like Chris Cuomo succeeded. He threatened, Jeff said we don’t negotiate with terrorists, and Chris blew up the place. How do we get past that perception that this is the bad guy winning?’ Tapper asked.
