Fox News Channel personality Jeanine Pirro is once again publicly criticizing the Biden administration.
This time, she took on White House press secretary Jen Psaki directly.
The clash stemmed from Pirro’s earlier commentary regarding the progressive policies she believes have contributed to a spike in crime across the nation.
Psaki apparently took offense to the characterization and sought to laugh off Pirro’s concerns during a subsequent podcast interview.
As Mediaite explained:
Like many Fox News shows, The Five has made stories about crime central to its programming. Psaki appeared to suggest that crime is being overhyped by Fox News and other conservative media outlets.
“On Fox is Jeanine Pirro talking about soft-on-crime consequences,” Psaki said on the podcast last week. “I mean, what does that even mean, right? So there’s an alternate universe.”
Fox News White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich asked Psaki about her comments about Monday.
“What I was speaking to, was a chyron on Fox News, since you raised it, which suggested this administration is soft on crime with no basis,” replied Psaki.
Jesse Waters gave his colleague an opportunity to respond to Psaki’s remarks — and Pirro did not disappoint her conservative fans.

The Daily Mail provided some additional details:
She wants to know why I’m talking about the consequences of soft on crime,’ Pirro said on Fox News’ The Five Monday evening.
‘Well, I’m talking about the consequences of the Democrat, liberal, progressive, leftist, soft-on-crime, criminal-loving, victim-hating group that has made a decision that no bail, no jail and that criminals are–they should be privilege and that social justice and rogue prosecutors should not be a part of the criminal justice system.’
‘Jen, are you so locked up in your ivory tower that you have no idea what Americans really care about and what they’re concerned about?’ she added.
Citing rising crime rates across the U.S., Pirro said: ‘Joe Biden ignored all this. Joe Biden ignored the looting, the burning, the rioting, and he ignored the burning of a federal courthouse, and police precincts.’
Of course, Pirro was not alone in voicing her opposition.
A number of prominent conservative officials and groups weighed in on social media in the aftermath of the White House spokeswoman’s remarks.

There is no doubt that the crime rate is getting out of control in Democratic-led cities from coast to coast.
As CNN reported in October:
The United States has just recorded its highest increase in rates of homicide in modern history, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Provisional data from the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics, released early Wednesday, suggest the homicide rate for the United States rose 30% between 2019 and 2020. It is the highest increase recorded in modern history — and confirms through public health data a rise in homicides that so far had been identified only through crime statistics.
The previous largest increase in the US homicide rate was a 20% rise recorded from 2000 to 2001 because of the September 11 terror attacks, according to NCHS.
“It is the largest increase in 100 years,” Robert Anderson, chief of the mortality statistics branch at NCHS, said.
Psaki’s efforts to dismiss or downplay those statistics is sure to turn even more Americans against the current administration.
In the following clip, one former police chief explained why Psaki’s rhetoric is so dangerous.
Do you think Psaki is unfit to serve as a mouthpiece for the Biden White House?
