https://twitter.com/nypost/status/1489244182208208898It looks like Hollywood is as liberal as ever.

Susan Sarandon took to Twitter to mock the NYPD.

What’s so disgusting about this latest incident, however, isn’t the fact that she appears to be anti-police.

After all, it’s no secret that the defund-the-police crowd are anti law and order.

What was particularly shocking was the fact that Sarandon appeared to mock the NYPD for grieving their fallen comrade.

View her tweet below:

But that’s not all.

She compared the funeral to fascism.

Really?!

Unsurprisingly, the backlash was huge:

Folks, this is what “white privilege” looks like.

Sarandon likely enjoys private security because of her status as a famous person.

Yet, she has the audacity to mock fallen officers from the safety of her own secure premises.

NBC confirms the backlash:

Susan Sarandon is facing criticism after sharing a tweet comparing the funeral of a slain New York City police officer to fascism.

Following the funeral of Officer Jason Rivera, who was shot and killed while responding to a call in Harlem last month, Danny Haiphong shared a photo of thousands of police officers lining Fifth Avenue outside St. Patrick’s Cathedral, where the 22-year-old’s service was held.

“I’m gonna tell my kids this is what fascism looks like,” wrote Haiphong, who identifies himself as an independent journalist.

On Wednesday, when officers lined the avenue for the second time to mourn Wilbert Mora, 27, who also died following the Harlem shooting, Sarandon shared a screenshot of Haiphong’s tweet.

“So if all these cops weren’t needed for CRIME that day, doesn’t that mean they aren’t needed ANY day?” Sarandon wrote. A hashtag stamped on the part of the photo featuring the sea of officers said: “#abolishthepolice.”

Sarandon is known for her progressive views.

But her tweet didn’t sit well with her Twitter audience.

The backlash continue to grow.

Will Sarandon be disciplined similar to Whoopi Goldberg?

Only time will tell.

But people are not happy with her nasty tweets!

And people thought Trump was the one with “mean” tweets!

But it’s not just what Sarandon tweeted.

It’s the fact that she felt comfortable enough to share these radical thoughts publicly.

Is she thinks this is ok for the public discourse, then exactly how out of touch with the reality are the “elites”?

Fox News also covered the story:

Susan Sarandon seemingly shared a message to Twitter comparing cops gathered to pay their respects to fallen NYPD officer Jason Rivera to fascists on Wednesday.

The image Sarandon posted featured a tweet written by podcaster Danny Haiphong.

The original tweet showed a photo of police officers lining the New York City streets and read, “I’m gonna tell my kids this is what fascism looks like.”

Sarandon’s photo added the words, “So, if all these cops weren’t needed for CRIME that day, doesn’t that mean they aren’t needed ANY day?”

It is unclear if the photo was made by Sarandon or a re-shared post. A representative for the actress did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for further comment.

Rivera and Wilbert Mora, 27, were shot on the evening of Jan. 21 while responding to a report of a domestic violence incident in Harlem involving a mother and her adult son, Lashawn McNeil.

NATIONAL POLL: Do You Trust Fox News?

Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue was a sea of blue on Thursday as the hearse carrying 22-year-old Rivera’s remains pulled up to uniformed officers saluting the fallen NYPD hero. The vehicle was escorted by police as it traveled to the historic St. Patrick’s Cathedral from a funeral home in the Bronx’s Riverdale and passed traffic stopped in all directions along the way.

Yes, at We Love Trump, we believe in freedom of speech!

Even for leftists.

But that does NOT mean they have freedom from criticism or backlash.

Words matter.

And Sarandon only appears to be fueling the growing anti-cop sentiment that has been blossoming under the Biden regime.
