The COVID-19 narrative continues to crumble, and mainstream media cannot hold on much longer.
It appears even some on the left are over COVID hysteria.
On Friday, Bill Maher hosted journalist and author Bari Weiss on his show “Real Time with Bill Maher” to discuss the detrimental impact of the COVID response.
And Weiss sang a different tune than most liberals have for the past two years.

Gateway Pundit explained:
During the interview, the former New York Times writer, who is now on Substack, slammed school closures and the crippling restrictions that have been forced through by way of public health measures as a ‘catastrophic moral crime.’
Weiss began her rant by defiantly declaring that she is ‘done with covid!’ Apparently she has taken part in all of the recommended rituals throughout, but, as she points out, nothing has worked the way people have been told.
The hysterics surrounding this virus are “ridiculous at this point,” she concludes.
“We were told you get the vaccine, you get the vaccine and you get back to normal. And we haven’t gotten back to normal. And it’s ridiculous at this point.
‘I know that so many of my liberal and progressive friends are with me on this and they do not want to say it out loud because they are scared to be called anti-vaxxed or to be called science deniers or to be smeared as a Trumper.”
Somewhat surprisingly, the traditionally left-leaning crowd burst out into raucous applause after she made her point.

The most impressive thing about Bari Weiss on last night’s Bill Maher is the wild applause after she finishes here. After two years the tides are turning, even for the left leaning people in this country when it comes to covid. Watch this: pic.twitter.com/8DIH3zTibM

Bill Maher recently voiced his opposition to taking a COVID-19 booster, noting that some people who took a booster tested positive for the virus.
Bill Maher says he's 'never' getting a coronavirus vaccine booster: 'What the f*[**] is the use of a booster shot?' https://t.co/hHYryoGIPq

The Blaze reported on Maher’s interview with Deadline:
Maher told the outlet that COVID-19 vaccines “do not prevent you from either transmitting it or getting the disease. We know that. That’s a fact now. They just prevent you from dying, which is a great part of it, let’s not undercount that. But if they don’t prevent you from transmitting it and they don’t prevent you from getting it why are we still treating this disease the way we always have? And what the f*[**] is the use of a booster shot? Because I will never get a booster shot.”
“It’s not only useless, but this is a very, very new vaccine. Okay, I didn’t want the first vaccine. We should not treat people unfairly who want to allow their own immune system to take care of the situation. But okay, I took one for the team. Now, they’re giving a fourth one in Israel with the booster shots. Now, this I read in the front page of the New York Times, which is a very pro-vaccine publication, and even they printed that many scientists in Israel were against this, scientists and doctors, because they said it might have a reverse effect, something called immune system fatigue,” Maher said.
“Well, I don’t want that, do you? So, now you’re not protected by the vaccine or your immune system? I don’t think so,” he said.
He told Deadline that he’s “over COVID” and said that he never believed it represented a significant threat to healthy people.
“I was never scared of it. I was always scared of the reaction to it, and as this has played out that only proved to be more true for me. I’m sure many people feel different, but that’s me. It was never that virulent a threat, I thought, to people who were in good health,” he noted.
Is the left finally waking up from the darkness of COVID hysteria?
Or, are they back-tracking after being wrong in a spectacular fashion?
