White and would like to receive treatment for COVID-19?
Get in line. At least if you live in New York.
Non-white people will be now be prioritized in receiving COVID-19 treatments in the state of New York.
The progressive movement comes after calls to fix “longstanding systematic health and social inequities.”
A recent article from our friends at Fox News writes:
The state of New York said it will prioritize non-White people in the distribution of COVID-19 treatments in short supply.
New York’s Department of Health released a document detailing its plan to distribute the treatments, such as monoclonal antibody treatment and antiviral pills.
The plan includes a section on eligibility for the scarce antiviral pills that people must meet to receive the treatment, including a line stating a person needs to have “a medical condition or other factors that increase their risk for severe illness.”
One such “risk factor” is being a race or ethnicity that is not White due to “longstanding systemic health and social inequities”
“Non-white race or Hispanic/Latino ethnicity should be considered a risk factor, as longstanding systemic health and social inequities have contributed to an increased risk of severe illness and death from COVID-19,” the memo reads.
While democrats fail to address what exactly these “systematic health and social inequities” are referring to, one thing is for sure in their minds:
Race should be the primary consideration when deciding who will receive COVID-19 medical care.
In her tweet (below), Karol Markowicz, a columnist at the New York Post, explains that Antibody treatments are in short supply.

Why not, rather, treat people on a case-by-case basis?
Take into account the severity of illness or symptoms shown by individuals when deciding who will first receive the vaccine.
But of course, Democrats are once again more concerned with votes come election season.
Step One: Make COVID-19 a race issue and give non-Whites priority when distributing treatments.
Step Two: Earn votes from the minority crowd.
And while Democrats continue to scream, “Republicans have turned COVID-19 into a political issue.” Little will likely be spoken of when Democrats turned COVID-19 into a race issue.

We know, Jim.
Try telling that to Democrats.
