On December 22nd, Egyptian third division Al-Rebat & Al-Anwar SC goalkeeper Ahmed Amin suffered a sudden heart attack in the locker room after training.
Amin went into cardiac arrest and lost consciousness in the locker room. The club’s medical team unsuccessfully attempted to revive Amin and rushed him to a nearby hospital.
Tragically, doctors at the hospital said Amin had already passed away and ruled his cause of death as cardiac arrest.

The Street Journal had the story:
Upon falling unconscious in the locker room, the club’s medical team tried to save the player but they were unable to do that, so they quickly took him to the nearest hospital.
As they arrived at the hospital, the doctors told them that the player had already passed away and nothing could be done at that point, the cause of death was then revealed to be sudden cardiac arrest.
According to Kingfut, the Egyptian keeper had no sign of heart failure prior to his training session.
eVentiAvversinews.it shared additional details:
Islam Ezzat, a member of the club’s board, said: “Ahmed is one of the best goalkeepers I know. He sustained yesterday’s training in a natural way, like every day, and he also finished the training session quietly ”.
He continued: “After entering the locker room, he lost consciousness, his colleagues rushed him to Al-Zohor hospital, but he died a few minutes later.”
He added: “I advise players to drink enough water, at least 4 liters a day, it may be that Amin neglected to drink water and had a sharp drop in blood circulation.”
A person close to Amin said: “Ahmed felt pain 10 days ago and went to the doctor to check his condition, mainly because he was fainting repeatedly. The doctor diagnosed him with gastroesophageal reflux ”.
He continued: “Ahmed asked to have an echocardiogram, but the doctor told him it wasn’t necessary . “
Amin is the 4th professional footballer I’ve reported this week that passed away due to a cardiac-related event.

Others include 23-year-old Croatian Marin Cacic, 30-year-old Algerian Sofiane Lokar, and 29-year-old Omani Mukhaled Al-Raqadi.
The young players add to the growing list of athletes to suddenly collapse due to cardiac-related events. While most people suspect the COVID-19 jabs to be the culprit, the mainstream media refuses to investigate the source of the dramatic rise in athlete cardiac arrests.
