Chicago Begs For Federal Government To Help

Well, the theme here today folks is City Mayors across the nation coming out and saying “I made a mistake with my leftist views, now it’s back firing, please send help before my city burns to the ground.”

Between Vermont regretting their decision to cut their police force and now Chicago begging the federal government to help them, it’s pretty clear defunding the police DOES NOT and will NOT ever work.

Fox News has more on Mayor Lightfoot begging for help, amidst the soaring crime rates in the city:

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is calling on the federal government for help in combating crime and violence in the Windy City.

In a news conference Monday, the Democrat mayor asked U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland to send in agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for six months to ramp up the number of gun investigations and gun seizures, according to Fox32 Chicago.

The plea comes as the number of shooting victims in Chicago this year — as of this past Sunday — was at 4,270, compared to 3,930 in 2020, the Chicago Tribune reported, citing police statistics.

These are some of the reactions to the Mayors desperate cry for help, knowing she brought a lot of this on herself and her city….

Just a reminder, Mayor Lightfoot is responsible for this as she slashed the Chicago PD’s budget by roughly $80 million for the 2021 budget.

If the Mayor stopped defunding the police, maybe she wouldn’t have to hire private groups…Weird concept, right?

Hopefully Mayor Lightfoot has learned her lesson (it appears as though she might be learning) as the national police support fund reports Lightfoot’s 2022 budget increases police spending to $1.9 billion, up from $1.7 billion in 2021.

One thing is for certain, the wokeism needs to stop, it never works and we need to start refunding the police, now, more than ever before.
