In the wake of the Jussie Smollett guilty verdict, it’s time to turn an eye to another public figure who has been responsible for pushing lies over the last several years.
I’m talking about Adam Schiff of course.
Schiff has continually pushed the known lie that there was Russian collusion since the very beginning of President Donald Trump’s journey to the White House.
Despite four years of threatening to remove Trump from office, Schiff’s threats came up empty.
For some reason, Schiff still (for now) sits on his throne of lies without consequence.
However, one GOP representative says it’s only a matter of time before Schiff faces the music.
Republican Rep. Dan Bishop (R-NC) called Schiff “the Jussie Smollett of Congress” while speaking on Fox Business Network’s “The Evening Edit.”
“He just hasn’t had his trial yet,” Bishop added.
Independent Journal Review has more from Rep. Bishop:
MacDonald accused Schiff of “misleading again,” adding, “The Steele dossier did not play a limited role. The DOJ inspector general noted the FBI used the Steele dossier as a basis to get FISA wiretaps – meant for terrorists – to go after the Trump campaign. There goes Adam Schiff misleading again.”
When asked for his reaction, Bishop said, “Adam Schiff is the Jussie Smollett of Congress. He just hasn’t had his trial yet.”
On Thursday, a jury found Smollett guilty on five out of six charges for staging a hate crime and lying to police officers.
Schiff has previously stressed that he does not regret promoting the Steele Dossier. He read some of the allegations included in the report on the House floor Thursday.
Rep. Dan Bishop Slams Adam Schiff
GOP Rep. James Comer also had some powerful words for Schiff.
He accused the shifty democrat of having "no shame," despite wasting millions of dollars in taxpayer money on a Russia-Trump collusion hoax.
Fox News has more details:
"You don't need to give him an opportunity to explain the Steele dossier – to explain the overwhelming evidence that he had that he never brought forward, explain what happened with the whistleblower. And then explain what he is doing with Hunter Biden. And he just brushed everything off," Comer said on Saturday.
"He has no shame for what he put the country through, the millions of tax dollars he wasted on the baseless investigations of Trump. And it was just another example of his arrogance."
Comer and Schiff butted heads recently:
