The Ways of God

Do you know the “Ways of God”?

Many people know about God….

Or claim to.

But few know his “ways”.

In other words, do you know his character?

Do you know why he does certain things?

Or how he would tend to react to a given situation based on the prior knowledge of “his ways”?

David did.

Psalm 27:11:

Teach me Your way, O Lord,
And lead me in a level path
Because of my foes.

Psalm 86:11:

Teach me Your way, O Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name.

Here’s another:

Isaiah 55:8-9:

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

For those of you who are married, this is easy.

Do you know “the ways” of your spouse?

If someone said your spouse did X, Y or Z, would you know enough to know whether that was “their ways”?

Of course you would.

And the same goes for knowing God’s ways….not just knowing “about God”.
