All Americans are under attack right now.
We’re under attack from the media.
We’re under attack from the government.
We’re under attack from the woke mob.
That means that we must support one another during these trying times.
That precisely what Mark and Patricia McCloskey are doing for Kyle Rittenhouse.
The McCloskeys were unfairly attacked by the media for defending their homes from rioters last year.
Now they’re standing up in support of Kyle Rittenhouse.
The McCloskeys opened up to reporters in Kenosha about what they call the “political prosecution” of an innocent kid.
Here's more on the McCloskey's show of support for Kyle from the Washington Examiner:
The St. Louis couple who made headlines last year after being filmed pointing guns at Black Lives Matter protesters showed up at the Kenosha County courthouse Monday in support of Kyle Rittenhouse .
Mark and Patricia McCloskey told reporters that Rittenhouse was being subjected to a "political prosecution."
"We're here to support Kyle and the basic premise of self-defense and our God-given Second Amendment rights," Mark McCloskey said. "And we're hoping the jury acquits him on all counts."
National Review has more from the McCloskey's:
Fox News interviewed the couple minutes from the Kenosha County Courthouse where Rittenhouse faces homicide charges after he shot three people, killing two, while he was lying prone in the street being beaten by several attackers in the middle of a riot in August 2020. Rittenhouse and his attorneys have maintained that he was acting in self-defense.
“We feel for Mr. Rittenhouse,” Mark McCloskey told Fox News. “We feel he acted in self-defense.”
“We think he’s been politically prosecuted, as were we, and we’re hoping that the jury find him not guilty on all counts and that he can go home a free man,” he added.
Mark McCloskey said that he thinks the evidence is very strong that Kyle acted in self-defense:
