TRIGGERED: Bette Midler Says Women Should “Refuse to Have Sex” Over Texas Abortion Law

Turns out that many Democrat women are triggered over Texas’ law preserving life.

Bette Midler is one of them.

She is proposing that women start a sex strike.

On Twitter, Midler posted:

I suggest that all women refuse to have sex with men until they are guaranteed the right to choose by Congress.

In other words, Bette Midler is proposing abstinence.

Ummm….

Bette, you do realize that if you practiced abstinence in the first place, you wouldn’t need an abortion, right?

Problem solved, ya genius!

Now, people are taking to social media to make fun of Bette Midler’s ridiculous call-to-action.

Apparently, this isn’t the first time that Bette Midler has proposed a sex strike.

According to Red State:

As we’ve previously reported, a great triggering commenced immediately after the Supreme Court’s 5-4 ruling earlier this week on the Texas Fetal Heartbeat law.

Though the ruling was on procedural grounds and other lawsuits against the law are winding their way through the courts as we speak, the teeth-gnashing amongst the Usual Suspects was so widespread that there were reports of the ground shaking in certain parts of the country as cries of “Roe v. Wade was just overturned!!!” were being uttered.

Predictably, unhinged left-wing celebrities rushed to the Twitter machine to share their thoughts, and among them was Dolly Parton’s younger sister Stella, who dumbed down the social media platform a little bit more by idiotically proclaiming that “women in America are being treated worse than women in Afghanistan.”

But while Stella Parton was busy letting the world know that it’s her older sister Dolly who has the brains, sense, and class in the family, actress Bette Midler weighed in with what I found to actually be a sensible suggestion in the aftermath of the SCOTUS decision:

This is not Midler’s first foray into advocating for sex strikes. She joined fellow actress Alyssa Milano’s call for a sex strike back in 2019 over Georgia’s fetal heartbeat bill.

Presumably, the only women who would take part in this “sex strike” would be women who think like Bette Midler and Alyssa Milano. With that in mind, I am completely on board with these types of women abstaining from sex, because that lessens the likelihood that there would eventually be mini-versions of them who would one day follow in their parents’ radical pro-abortion footsteps.

And considering the fact that litigation over abortion law is going to be an ongoing thing for a long time, that means the “sex strike” would have to go on for decades to come. I’m totally down with that because what this country does not need are more raving lunatics like Bette Midler and Alyssa Milano who embarrass women every time they take to social media to dazzle us with their supposed brilliance.

Not only that, but abstaining from sex would obviously cut down on the so-called “need” for abortions, so that would be a win-win for all sides of the debate.

Also, I think it’s a good idea to be on board with the suggestion that women with the mindsets of Bette Midler and Alyssa Milano refrain from having sex because, let’s face it, many of us do feel a twinge of sympathy for the men who have chosen to put up with these types of women by dating them or marrying them. As some of my RS colleagues pointed out during a discussion of this topic, this would give those same guys the chance to retire the “headache” card they have to trot out on Friday nights, if you catch my meaning.

If Democrats end up practicing abstinence like Bette wants them to, then there will literally be zero need for abortions!

After all, women can’t get pregnant on their own!

With this sort of flawed logic, we recommend that Bette Midler stay in entertainment and out of politics.
