The situation in Afghanistan is rapidly deteriorating……

Many Americans are still trapped inside the collapsing nation, and we are getting reports that Taliban fighters are going around forcing women to cover up, firing indiscriminate shots, and threatening press.

President Trump would have NEVER let this happen…..

I think maybe I wouldn’t be as infuriated if there was even a hint of responsibility from Biden and his cabinet, but instead what we are seeing is perhaps the greatest shirking of responsibility in modern times.

Todd Starnes highlights some details of the chaos:

“It’s definitely chaotic,” Ward told CNN’s Brianne Keilar. “It’s definitely dangerous…the gunfire is pretty much constant.”

“Two Taliban fighters just came up with their pistols, and they were ready to pistol-whip [our producer]. We had to intervene and scream,” she said, as gunshots can be heard behind her, adding that another Taliban fighter intervened and told him they were members of the press.

“I’ve covered all sorts of crazy situations. This was mayhem. This was nuts. This was impossible for any ordinary civilian, even if they had their paperwork,” Ward explained. “There’s no coherent system for processing people.”

According to CNN, The Pentagon and State Department officials have absolutely no idea whether Americans can leave Afghanistan safely:

The Pentagon and State Department issued conflicting statements Wednesday about the ability of US citizens and Afghans to reach the Kabul airport, with the State saying it could not ensure safe transit to the airfield, while the Pentagon said the Taliban is “guaranteeing safe passage.”

“THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT CANNOT ENSURE SAFE PASSAGE TO THE HAMID KARZAI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT,” the US Embassy in Kabul advised American citizens in a security alert Wednesday.

A few hours later, Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman told reporters at the State Department today that, “we have seen reports that the Taliban, contrary to their public statements and their commitments to our government are blocking Afghans who wish to leave the country from reaching the airport.”
