No truer statement has ever been said…..
The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were completely fraudulent, insanely expensive, and they destroyed this country. I remember America prior to Bush’s horrible decisions—it wasn’t perfect, but it was far better than it is now.
State apologists say we went in on ‘faulty intelligence’ I say there is no such thing.
These people went in there on pretenses they knew to be false, just to make Cheney and his buddies in the military industrial complex rich……
The evidence of that is that 20 years, countless lives, and trillions of dollars later, Afghanistan completely collapsed in just one day.
President Trump also points out that the region is completely destroyed now and a far worse place than it was just 20 years ago….
So what the hell were our ‘leaders’ doing there for 20 years?
The relevant part of the video begins at 7:10:
President Trump RIPS into George W Bush for invading Iraq and Afghanistan in the early 2000's. I 100% agree with him here. George Bush and Dick Cheney are total crooks. They should have been tried for treason. #Afghanistan #AfghanistanBurning https://t.co/7u2XmwoAWL

The Independent took note of President Trump’s words:
While explaining how his administration “got rid of the Isis caliphate,” Mr Trump digressed to blame Mr Bush and said that the ongoing situation in Afghanistan has brought the US military a bad reputation.
“…We have the greatest military in the world and we are giving it a very bad reputation with what’s happening,” he said.
Mr Trump said: “It’s turned out to be quicksand. We’ve destroyed the Middle East, you think it’s better now than it was 20-21 years ago, it’s much worse. It was a horrible decision and cost us trillions of dollars.”
“If you look at both sides, because I like to look at both sides, millions and millions of lives … and it is no different than it was. It’s much worse because you have to rebuild it, it’s been blown to pieces. The worst decision ever made was going to do strike as retribution and it could be a big strike for the World Trade Centre but to get stuck in there was like quicksand so we did a terrible thing,” Mr Trump said.

We should be talking a lot more about how we got here.
We should be talking a lot more about all the war hawks from the early 2000s.
Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld.
They created this disaster.

President Trump even went so far as to say that we have never been so humiliated before on Fox News:
“It is a terrible time for our country. I don’t think in all of the years our country has ever been so humiliated. I don’t know what you call it – a military defeat or a psychological defeat, there has never been anything like what’s happened here: You can go back to Jimmy Carter with the hostages,” Trump said.
Trump considered whether Biden will in one aspect cause an exponentially worse hostage crisis, as the Taliban currently has Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul surrounded by checkpoints – at which there have been reports of beatings and other violence.
“You are dealing with thousands and thousands of Americans and others that are stranded and very dangerously… in Afghanistan. So it’s something that you can’t even believe.”
