Taxpayers May Pay $15 Billion in Damages Because of What Biden Did

Just when we think Joe couldn’t cost American taxpayers any more money, he blows our minds.

From the price at the gas pump, rising inflation, and tax hikes, it seems that Joe Biden’s super power is taking money out of American’s pockets. Sadly, earning Americans more money is not included.

Another thing Joe lacks is foresight, insight, and the ability to think rationally. Just a few weeks ago, he threatened nuclear genocide on his own citizens. Was that wise? Most would say NO.

But that’s just Joe. He does and says what he wants.

What Biden is failing to realize is that his words and actions as the President, have major consequences. He’s not on the floor of congress anymore. He’s in the big office.

Remember his first day in office? Biden signed off on tons of Executive Orders repealing most of the good President Trump had done. The Left cheered like crazy.

Well, according to the Daily Wire, one of those executive order might cost taxpayers $15 billion dollars in damages. When Biden cancelled the permits for the Keystone XL Pipeline, it cost nearly 26,100 indirect and direct jobs.

It wasn’t just Americans that were affected, it was the Canadians too. Now the Canadians want their money.

U.S. taxpayers may have to end up paying $15 billion to the Canadian company behind the Keystone XL Pipeline. The company is seeking damages after Democrat President Joe Biden canceled the pipeline to pursue his far-left energy agenda.

TC Energy announced last month that they were scrapping the project because revoked the permit needed to complete the pipeline. Fox Business noted that a study from the State Department found that the pipeline would have created 26,100 indirect and direct jobs.

This is not an empty threat. TC Energy has already filed the needed paperwork to start the process of recovering damages because of Biden’s executive order to cancel the pipeline.

TC Energy announced last week that it had “filed a Notice of Intent to initiate a legacy North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) claim under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement to recover economic damages resulting from the revocation of the Keystone XL Project’s Presidential Permit,” the company said in a statement. “TC Energy will be seeking to recover more than US$15 billion in damages that it has suffered as a result of the U.S. Government’s breach of its NAFTA obligations.”

The Notice of Intent was filed with the U.S. Department of State.

When Canadians are mad, it’s a clear sign you’ve done something very wrong. For those keeping score, the average price per gallon is now over $3.00. You’re now possibly responsible for an additional $15 billion because Biden wants you to pay $3.00 rather than the $2.60 under President Trump.

Joe’s idea of a bright future needs some work.

What makes the situation more frustrating is that many legal scholars believe that what Biden has done is a severe overreach of his presidential authority.

In May, nearly two dozen state attorneys general filed a lawsuit against the Biden administration for canceling the pipeline, saying that he exceeded his presidential authority.

The attorneys general argue that Biden exceeded his authority because “of a provision Congress tucked into tax legislation in 2011 that required then-President Barack Obama to either approve the pipeline within 60 days or issue a determination that it wasn’t in the national interest,” NBC News reported.

“Obama then rejected TransCanada’s (now TC Energy Corp) application weeks later, saying Congress gave him insufficient time, but allowed the company to re-apply, which deferred the decision until after his re-election. Obama later rejected the application, President Donald Trump approved it, and Biden revoked the approval.”

There are many states that are hurting because of Biden’s careless executive orders. Look at all the states that are suing Biden.

The states that are suing Biden include Texas, Montana, Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

Thankfully, Joe is getting blowback from his own party. Turns out that Biden’s puppet masters are a little too extreme even for many Democrats.

Biden has even faced criticism from his own party for his far-left energy agenda as some Democrats have noted that pipelines are the safest way to transport oil while others have noted that Biden’s decision will their hurt their state.

With increasing fuel prices and the list of Biden’s blunders growing, the hope is that this will open the eyes of many voters during the 2022 elections that maybe things were better off with conservatives in power.
