Trump Permanently Shuts Down “From the Desk of Donald Trump” Website After Just One Month

After just 29 days, President Trump has permanently shut down his website “From the Desk of Donald Trump.”

A spokesperson has announced that the website will NOT be coming back online.

From the Desk of Donald Trump is how the 45th president has chosen to communicate with supporters after social media and Big Tech banned him from their platforms.

However, President Trump will likely communicate through emails.

And… it is expected that President Trump’s social media platform will be released soon.

What could the shut down of the website mean?

More details and theories below:

Jason Miller, one of President Trump’s most trusted aides, affirms that From the Desk of Donald Trump was never the end goal.

Rather, it was simply a stepping stone to the bigger picture.

The Daily Mail was among the first to report:

Donald Trump’s blog webpage where he started posting his statements has shut down for good after being set active just 29 days prior.

‘From the Desk of Donald J. Trump’ has been scrubbed from the former president’s website and instead the URL redirects users to a page to sign up for his email and text alerts.

Senior Trump aide Jason Miller told CNBC that the site ‘will not be returning.’

‘It was just auxiliary to the broader efforts we have and are working on,’ he added.

The site was set up amid the former president being banned from social media sites like Twitter and Facebook following the January 6 Capitol riot. The site, however, received criticism from those who claimed it was a sad excuse for an alternative to these other platforms.

Trump promised after being booted from his accounts that he would set up his own social media site, which he insists is different from the ‘desk’ blog.

Miller claimed he is ‘hoping to have more information on the broader efforts soon’ regarding the new social media site.

‘I do not have a precise awareness of timing,’ he said.

Trump unveiled his new blog last month billed as a ‘communication platform’ for the former president to interact more directly with supporters and the public after losing his access to other platforms.

A Twitter account set up to repost those statements verbatim was immediately shut down by CEO Jack Dorsey. The ‘desk’ site, however, also gave visitors the ability to easily share the statements for themselves onto social media platforms.

Due to Trump’s messaging for a new social media platform, many felt this new website was him unveiling that.

He and his team pushed back against this, however, claiming it was just a way to pump out his statements, which were also sent out through the email account for his Save America political action committee.

As always, liberals are prematurely predicting the end of Donald Trump.

Many of them are mocking the fact that the website is permanently shut down.

However, they are likely in for a rude awakening when Trump reveals his new social media platform.

In the meantime, here’s a sampling of social media posts by Democrats and liberals who are mocking Trump for no reason:

It’s ok.

Let Democrats have their laugh now.

Because it is Donald Trump who will have the last laugh.

The news has been confirmed by CNBC:

Former President Donald Trump’s blog — a webpage where he shared statements after larger social media companies banned him from their platforms — has been permanently shut down, his spokesman said Wednesday.

The page, “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump,” has been scrubbed from Trump’s website after going live less than a month earlier.

It “will not be returning,” his senior aide Jason Miller told CNBC.

“It was just auxiliary to the broader efforts we have and are working on,” Miller said in email correspondence.

He declined to provide additional details about those efforts.

“Hoping to have more information on the broader efforts soon, but I do not have a precise awareness of timing,” Miller said.

Facebook and Twitter both banned Trump from posting on their platforms after Jan. 6, when a mob of the then-president’s supporters violently invaded the U.S. Capitol, forcing a joint session of Congress into hiding. Trump, who never conceded to President Joe Biden, repeatedly and falsely claimed on social media after the Nov. 3 election that the race had been stolen from him by widespread fraud.

Trump and his allies have long accused social media giants of being tainted by political bias and prone to censoring conservatives. The former president has teased the rollout of an alternative platform.

But the blog, unveiled last month and originally billed as a new “communications platform,” seemed ill-equipped to take on largest social media companies.

Miller clarified at the time — on Twitter — that the “Desk” page was “a great resource” to find Trump’s statements, “but this is not a new social media platform.”

At the time of his de-platforming in January, Trump boasted tens of millions of followers on Twitter and millions more on Facebook.

Democrats have predicted the demise of Donald Trump time and time again.

But he always comes back stronger and wiser.

We can’t wait to see what else President Trump has hidden up his sleeve!
