The crusade by the left to ‘investigate’ what took place on January 6th was practically dead on arrival! It’s clear that Senate Republicans knew that this so-called “bipartisan” commission would be nothing more than a witch hunt.
This commission would be weaponized as a means to go after all conservatives who were anywhere near the capital on January 6th. Furthermore, it would be used as a tool to strike fear into anyone who would dare support our President Donald Trump.
The left has employed draconian technology tools to locate every individual in or around the capital on that day and has since weaponized the FBI to go after them personally.

Senate Republicans killed a bipartisan bill establishing a commission to investigate the Jan. 6 attack at the Capitol, filibustering the first legislation since President Joe Biden took office after a multi-hour, overnight session pushed the vote back a day.
The bill failed 54 to 35, getting the support of six Republicans instead of the 10 that it needed to overcome the Senate’s 60-vote threshold required to begin debate. The bill would have established a 10-member, bipartisan commission into the Capitol riot, when pro-Trump rioters attempted to block Congress from certifying Biden’s victory.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell led the Republican opposition, and called the bill “slanted and unbalanced” last week.
“There is, has been, and there will continue to be, no shortage of robust investigations by two separate branches of the federal government,” McConnell said. “It’s not at all clear what new facts our additional investigation, yet another commission, could actually lay on top of existing efforts by law enforcement and Congress.”
Democrats, however, decried Republicans’ opposition and the filibuster, which sets a 60-vote threshold for most legislation to advance.
“We have a mob overtake the Capitol, and we can’t get the Republicans to join us in making historic record of the event?” asked Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin, the no. 2 in his caucus, on the Senate floor. “That tells you what’s wrong with the Senate and what’s wrong with the filibuster.”
Other Democrats have accused McConnell of prioritizing partisan politics over investigating an unprecedented attack that left multiple people dead and forced lawmakers to quickly flee their respective chambers for their safety.
“There is no excuse for any Republican to vote against this commission since Democrats have agreed to everything they asked for,” said West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin. “McConnell has made this his political position, thinking it will help his 2022 elections. They do not believe in the truth will set you free, so they continue to live in fear.”
“If our Republican friends vote against this, I would ask them, ‘what are you afraid of? The truth?’,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said on the Senate floor minutes before Friday’s vote. “Are you afraid that Donald Trump’s big lie will be dispelled? Are you afraid that all of the misinformation that poured out will be rebutted by a bipartisan, down-the-middle commission?”
Had the democrats managed to reach the 60 vote threshold and move forward with this commission we all know that it would not have been transparent.
Just look at the multiple hit job investigations that the democrats levied against President Trump during his term in office. From the Russia spy conspiracy to the ‘dossier’, to the two failed impeachments.
We should all be applauding the Republicans who stood their ground and fought off yet another witch hunt by the deranged communists in the democrat party.
This is a tactic right now of the communist playbook, investigate your opponents regardless of whether or not there is any evidence to suggest a crime actually took place.
A) The Senate has blocked an effort to end a filibuster to start debate on a bill to create a commission to investigate the January riot.
The vote to overcome the filibuster was 54-35
But 60 yeas were necessary to end the filibuster.
All Democrats present voted yes.

According to the Gateway Pundit:
Here are the 6 Republican senators who voted with the Democrats in favor of a January 6 commission
-
- Collins
- Murkowski
- Romney
- Cassidy
- Sasse
- Portman
It is important that the 6 RINOs (republicans in name only) who voted alongside the democrats are defeated in their next primary races.
The republican party can no longer afford to have spineless individuals in their party who are unwilling to take the fight directly to the democrats. This is the only way we take our country back from the brink of becoming a socialist state.
