The First Step Tying Trump to January 6th Has Passed the House

Even with Trump out of office, the Left can’t live without him in their lives. It’s the ultimate dependant relationship.

In a move to further the relationship and take things to the next level, Democrats have passed the bill they needed to start a commission looking into what happened on January 6th of this year.

In other words, they need something to distract American voters while they get their progressive agenda through.

The Hill gives us some more details about what’s going on.

The House on Wednesday passed a bill to establish a commission to investigate the January 6 attack on the Capitol, earning relatively little support from Republicans as GOP leaders sought to quash a bill negotiated by one of their own members.

This move is not surprising, considering Nancy Pelosi miraculously remained the House Speaker.

Between trying to issue fines to maskless Republican members following CDC guidelines and preventing the Squad from taking her job, Nancy has been hard at work making sure that she can continue to hear Donald Trump’s name in her ears.

Check out how excited she is at the prospect.

Nancy cannot contain her excitement.

Lawmakers passed the bill in a 252-175 vote, with 35 Republicans joining all Democrats in support.

The fact that 35 Republicans voted for the commission is another example of why Trump couldn’t accomplish all that he had wanted. These 35 are the definition of RINOs.

Democrats came out and stated that the commission wasn’t directly related to Trump but the event itself and the hate groups involved.

While many consider the Republican leadership to be as corrupt as their fellow Democrats, they aren’t fools. They schooled Democrats and made them admit this was all about Trump.

GOP leaders tried to expand the scope of the investigation to include other events of political violence taking place throughout the United States. Predictably, the Left refused.

The reality is that while the bill has passed the House, it stands very little chance of passing in the Senate.

Chuck Schumer of New York said he would bring it up in session for a vote, but Mitch McConnell has already presented his objections.

The Daily Caller has the quote:

“I’ve made the decision to oppose the House Democrats’ slanted and unbalanced proposal for another commission to study the events of January the 6th,” McConnell said. “There is … no shortage of robust investigations by two separate branches of federal government. It’s not all clear what new facts our additional investigation, yet another commission, could actually lay on top of existing efforts by law enforcement and Congress.”

President Trump had choice words for the commission.

“Republicans in the House and Senate should not approve the Democrat trap of the January 6 Commission. It is just more partisan unfairness and unless the murders, riots, and fire bombings in Portland, Minneapolis, Seattle, Chicago, and New York are also going to be studied, this discussion should be ended immediately,” Trump said in a statement Tuesday night.

As usual, President Trump has a way of pointing out the hypocrisy of a commission such as this one.

There was no commission formed to investigate the violence in liberal cities during the summer.

Even the shooting of congress members at a baseball field in 2017 went commission-free.

The Left has decided to take up January 6th because it serves their narrative and helps them distract American voters from what they are doing.

It will be interesting to see whether this will get past the Senate.

If it manages to pass and get signed into law, it signals the presence of more RINO’s in the conservative movement than initially thought.
