Arizona AG Demands Harris be Ousted as ‘Border Czar,’ Calls Her Appointment “Insulting”

Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich: "Since her appointment, there have been more than 200,000 illegal crossings at the southern border."

The horrible crisis currently taking place at our southern border should be taken seriously.

Unfortunately, the Biden Administration could not care less.

Specifically, Joe Biden’s “border czar” Kamala Harris has failed miserably in this regard.

Harris has still not once visited the southern border.

Her and the administration continue to pretend that there is no crisis.

Meanwhile, leaders from states like Texas and Arizona are left to fend for themselves.

Many of these leaders are fed up with the administration’s failure to address this issue.

Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich is now calling for Joe Biden to remove Kamala Harris from her role in leading the effort to end the border crisis in the south.

Attorney General Mark Brnovich says that Kamala Harris must be removed from her role in dealing with the border crisis.

According to the Washington Times, Brnovich says Harris has already blown her chance to fix things:

Vice President Kamala Harris must be removed from her role in dealing with the border surge, Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich said in a letter this week to President Biden, saying his running mate has blown her chance to fix things.

Mr. Brnovich said it’s insulting to watch Ms. Harris make trips to other states for “less-pressing matters” while neither she nor Mr. Biden has visited Arizona or other border states to get an up-close look at the migrants surging across the boundary line from Mexico.

“Mr. President, we cannot afford another day, week or month of apathy and inaction by any official in your administration charged with upholding our federal immigration laws and ensuring public safety,” the Republican attorney general wrote.

AZ Attorney General Mark Brnovich: "Arizonans are Fed Up"

Brnovich called the administration's failure to take the border crisis seriously a "slap in the face" to Arizonans who helped put them in power.

Fox News has more on the Arizona AG's request that Harris be replaced as "border czar:"

Brnovich accused Harris of having shown "little interest" in seeing what is happening at the border and of not having articulated a plan to deal with the issue, instead traveling to other states.

"Mr. President, this is a slap in the face to Arizonans who helped elect you both to the highest offices in the land," Brnovich wrote.

Harris and the Biden administration have emphasized the "root causes" of the crisis, like poverty, climate and violence in Central America.

"We want to help people find hope at home," Harris said earlier this month. "So we are focused on addressing both the acute factors and the root causes of migration."

But Brnovich, who previously invited Harris to the border, says that the new April numbers show that "things are getting worse and we do not yet know the full extent of dangerous people and drugs crossing into our communities."

"I conclude by respectfully requesting that Vice President Harris be replaced as America’s "border czar" with a federal official who is willing to see the crisis firsthand and to work with state partners to address it," Brnovich wrote, also requesting new policies to increase transparency with Congress and the media.

Arizona is also one of a number of states that has sued the Biden administration over its immigration policies. Brnovich’s office recently sought a preliminary injunction against DHS guidance which narrows the categories of immigrants targeted for arrest and deportation.

Kamala Harris has completely ignored the southern border during this crisis.

Everyone knows, regardless of political affiliation, that this is the worst border crisis in decades.
