Why Kamala Harris Has Gone 33 Days Without a News Conference On the Border Crisis

Some of us have wondered why Kamala refused to go to the border after blowing hot in the campaign train.

She has even gone 33 days without a press conference on the border.

Now I think we know why.

According to some political insiders, she is aiming for the presidency, and if she encounters difficulties in resolving the complex crisis of several layers, it may be politically detrimental.

Not that we were any surprised.

Fox News reported:

Criticism of Kamala Harris over her absence from the U.S.-Mexico border region continued Sunday – with a new chapter added to the story.

Political insiders say there is good reason that Harris is working to avoid the political minefield. They see her as having her sights on the presidency and if she runs into trouble trying to resolve the complex crisis with many layers, it could prove politically damaging.

An interview with Harris on her home turf—CNN—aired Sunday and she indicated that the solution will not come in one fell swoop.

“The kind of work that has to happen is the diplomatic work that we have been engaged in, including my calls to the president of Mexico, the president of Guatemala,” Harris said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “But it’s not going to be solved overnight. It’s a complex issue. Listen, if this were easy, it would have been handled years ago.”

Republican U.S. Rep. Andy Biggs on Saturday listed the vice president’s recent non-border travels — and also made a ‘story time’ suggestion.

According to one Twitter user “she wanted the title but not the work”, another user also added that she was incompetent and I agree.

DailyWire have more on this story:

Vice President and appointed “border czar,” Kamala Harris, told CNN Sunday that she “can’t get to Central America soon enough” and will meet with leaders there in an effort to solve the ongoing immigration crisis at the southern border.

Harris was put in charge of handling the border crisis more than three weeks ago and has yet to hold a press conference or address the issue publicly, instead assuring Americans she is working on the issue behind the scenes. Although the United States is reportedly holding more than 10,000 child migrants in detention facilities across the southwest, she has not visited those facilities or, reportedly, discussed the issue with border-state governors.

Both Arizona Governor Doug Ducey (R) and Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) have invited Harris to tour both the border and the detention facilities, which they maintain are holding unaccompanied minors in unsafe, overcrowded conditions.

Instead, Harris told CNN she will head to Central America to get to the bottom of why thousands of residents of Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador are joining migrant caravans headed for the United States-Mexico border.

This comes a few days after she was ripped by the New Hampshire GOP for visiting the wrong border

I know it hurts seeing incompetent politicians who stole our votes in the oval office.
