Americans are sick of the current push towards socialism.
This includes democrat politicians apparently.
The democrat mayor from North Las Vegas just switched parties.
Mayor John Lee announced that he is switching to the republican party for fear of democrat instituted socialism.
Lee appeared on Fox News and had much to say about the democrats and their current political goals.
He said that he can no longer associate with the party, which he doesn’t even recognize anymore.
Lee had this to say about the socialist takeover:
“Here in Nevada, we’ve seen the full takeover of the Democratic Party by admitted socialists.”
“I will not let the America I love be hijacked by an extremist left-wing mob that blacklists, bans, shouts down, and cancels anyone who disagrees with them.”

North Las Vegas Mayor John Lee left the Democratic Party this week and registered Republican in the first major party switch of the Biden era.
Lee announced his decision on “Fox and Friends” Tuesday morning.
“Here in Nevada, we’ve seen the full takeover of the Democratic Party by admitted socialists,” Lee said. “I will not let the America I love be hijacked by an extremist left-wing mob that blacklists, bans, shouts down, and cancels anyone who disagrees with them,” Lee said.
The change had been a long time coming as socialist progressives swept the Democratic Party and expelled conservative Democrats in the process. Leaders like Lee, a pro-life, A-rated NRA-endorsed politician who voted for President Donald Trump twice are now politically homeless.
Lee told The Federalist that in Nevada the Democratic Party recently elected devout socialists to four out of five board positions which served as a catalyst for his decision to finally make the switch.
“It’s gone. The cancel culture has wiped you out … Whatever Democratic Party I thought I was associated with was not the party that just came in,” Lee told The Federalist. “If it’s happening in Nevada, it’s happening everywhere.”

“When you're a pro-life Democrat, a pro-gun Democrat, and you're a very conservative person, that's not really well-known in the Democratic Party anymore,” Lee added. “And so for me to hang on as long as I did, hoping the party would change, it didn't, it got worse. So therefore, I found a new place that I can put my allegiance to and help. Once again, forget about the last eight years. It's the next four years that predict the future.”
The recent Democratic leadership election in Nevada Lee referred to took place last month and resulted in several candidates openly affiliated with the Democratic Socialists of America being elected.
Lee, who owned a small business before entering politics, has been floated as a candidate for Nevada governor in 2022 but said recently that though he’s “flattered," he doesn’t want to be distracted from projects he is working on in North Las Vegas.
