TDS strikes again!

At least some Democrats have started to wake up to the idea that their impeachment efforts are a sham, and that President Trump will more than likely be acquitted.

That is not going to stop their pettiness though.

At least one Democrat senator is tossing around the idea of a censure.

A censure is basically a statement that means: ‘I frown upon your actions’.

Talk about unnecessary!

Keep on wasting time and precious tax payer money D.C. oligarchs; if your approval rating of 9% is any indication then your time will soon be at an end.

NTD News reported:

A Democrat senator on Tuesday said he was dropping his proposal to censure former President Donald Trump as an alternative to an impeachment trial, which a number of lawmakers have painted as a waste of time because he’s likely to be acquitted.

Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), who floated the alternative path, told reporters in Washington that there wasn’t enough support for the censure proposal.

“We don’t have enough support on the Republican side because they don’t want to bar Trump from running from office, and I don’t have enough support on the Democratic side because, for most of my colleagues, it’s impeachment or nothing,” Kaine said.

The Virginian expressed hope the proposal get enough support once the trial starts next week.

Axios had more:

"If we can’t get to 67 votes for impeachment, there may be another way to hold President Trump accountable."

The censure resolution will declare that the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol was an insurrection against the Constitution — an effort to stop Congress from "undertaking its constitutional duty to count electoral votes," according to Kaine.

It finds that Trump "gave aid and comfort" to the insurrectionists by "repeatedly lying about the election, slandering election officials, pressuring others to come to Washington for a wild event and encouraging them to come up to Congress."

The language is pulled from Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.
