The First Lady has spoken!

Melania Trump has broken her silence and released her first statement since the Capitol building was taken over.

The First Lady was quoted saying “my heart goes out to Air Force Veteran, Ashli Babbitt, Benjamin Philips, Kevin Greeson, Roseanne Boyland, and Capitol Police Officers, Brian Sicknick and Howard Liebengood. I pray for their family’s comfort and strength during this difficult time.

Did you catch that?

While the MSM has labeled Air Force veteran Ashli Babbit as a terrorist, the First Lady said she was praying for her family.

She also stated the events last week made her feel disheartened and disappointed.

The First Lady made her official statement on the White House’s website:

With nearly every experience I have had, I found myself carrying many individual’s stories home with me in my heart.

Most recently, my heart goes out to: Air Force Veteran, Ashli Babbitt, Benjamin Philips, Kevin Greeson, Roseanne Boyland, and Capitol Police Officers, Brian Sicknick and Howard Liebengood. I pray for their families comfort and strength during this difficult time.

I am disappointed and disheartened with what happened last week. I find it shameful that surrounding these tragic events there has been salacious gossip, unwarranted personal attacks, and false misleading accusations on me – from people who are looking to be relevant and have an agenda. This time is solely about healing our country and its citizens. It should not be used for personal gain.

Our Nation must heal in a civil manner.

Breitbart covered the story also, see what they had to say:

First Lady Melania Trump is “disappointed” and “disheartened” by the violent events surrounding last week’s attack on the Capitol, using a personal statement released Monday to call for national “healing” while at the same time rejecting “personal attacks” on her.

Mrs. Trump used the moment to plead “this time is solely about healing our country” and should not be used for “personal gain.” She said:

Our Nation must heal in a civil manner. Make no mistake about it, I absolutely condemn the violence that has occurred on our Nation’s Capitol. Violence is never acceptable.

Mrs. Trump then went on to implore people to “stop the violence, never make assumptions based on the color of a person’s skin or use differing political ideologies as a basis for aggression and viciousness.”

Melania is one of the first people in the White House to acknowledge Ashli Babbit’s death.
