6,200 National Guard Members Will Be Mobilized In D.C. The Next 30 Days

D.C will look different the next 30 days.

After the siege of the Capitol building, the National Guard of D.C. and six other states will deploy 6,200 troops to our nations capital.

The city of D.C. will now look like a war zone.

NBC Philadelphia covered the story, see what they had to add:

Through the weekend, 6,200 National Guard personnel will deploy to the nation’s capital and remain in the region for a minimum of 30 days. The month-long mobilization ensures that the National Guard members will be on hand for the Jan. 20 inauguration of  Joe Biden.

The mobilization comes as the nation continues to process Wednesday’s startling riot in which at least four people died.

The D.C. National Guard was mobilized during the riots and about 1,100 troops were sent to assist local police in tamping down the insurrection, the Pentagon said.

CNN added to the story too:

A handful of states and the District of Columbia are mobilizing approximately 6,200 National Guard members to Washington to provide security to the city following Wednesday’s deadly riot at the US Capitol, a US defense official tells CNN.

The guardsmen will be activated from the National Guards of Delaware, Virginia, New Jersey, Maryland, New York and DC, the official said, adding that although the details are still in the works, the troops will provide security around the city and the Capitol.

Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy said Thursday that in addition to the deploying of thousands National Guard members, work has begun to erect a seven-foot “non-scalable fence” around the grounds of the Capitol, both of which will be around for at least the next month.

Our nation is supposed to have the best military and defense system in the world and your telling me our Capitol building with all of the nation’s lawmakers inside it was completely taking over by armless people?

Something isn’t adding up at all!
