Well, this is a fun turn of events.

According to a new Gallup poll, President Donald Trump is the most admired man of 2020.

In doing so, President Trump just ended Barack Obama’s 12-year run with the title.

Last year, the president found himself in a tie with Obama for the title.

It seems that despite Obama’s massive ego, his popularity is beginning to fade.

Somehow, Obama’s wife Michelle is still the most admired woman.

It must be very awkward for Barack Obama now that President Trump is the one sharing that title with Michelle.

Fox News has the scoop:

President Trump dethroned former President Barack Obama as the most admired man in 2020, while Obama's wife, Michelle Obama, claimed the title of most admired woman for the third year in a row, according to an annual poll by Gallup.

Trump's new title was in spite of patterns from previous decades of polling that suggested incumbent presidents with unfavorable approval ratings rarely top the list.

In 2017 and 2018, Trump's approval ratings were 36% and 40%, respectively, and he placed behind Barack Obama.

This year, however, with a 39% approval rating, he managed to edge out Obama, thanks to consistent votes from Republicans, 48% of whom selected Trump.

The New York Post has more:

Trump’s first-place finish unseated former President Barack Obama from atop the list — a place he held for the past 12 years.

The president and his predecessor tied last year.

Rounding out the top 10 most admired men are President-elect Joe Biden at 6 percent, Dr. Anthony Fauci at 3 percent, Pope Francis at 2 percent, with Tesla founder Elon Musk, Sen. Bernie Sanders, Microsoft’s Bill Gates, NBA star LeBron James and the Dalai Lama finishing with 1 percent each.

Both Fauci, who is on the president’s coronavirus task force, and James broke into the list for the first time.

You know..

It sure is suspicious how President Trump could be voted as the most popular man in the country, yet still "lose" the election to Joe Biden, who finished a distant third...
