Breaking News!

United States Attorney General William Barr has officially resigned.

President Trump has announced that Bill Barr has resigned from his role as the Attorney General and will be leaving just before Christmas.

His resignation comes at an interesting time considering the fact that multiple sources have recently stated that Barr had knowledge of the Hunter Biden laptop in the spring but failed to report any information on it.

NBC News covered Barr’s resignation and added these details:

Attorney General William Barr will leave his position later this month, President Donald Trump said in a tweet on Monday.

The news comes not long after Barr said there was no widespread fraud in the 2020 election, defying Trump, who has made baseless claims the basis of a failed legal bid to overturn the results and stay in power.

“Just had a very nice meeting with Attorney General Bill Barr at the White House,” Trump tweeted. “Our relationship has been a very good one, he has done an outstanding job! As per letter, Bill will be leaving just before Christmas to spend the holidays with his family.”

Barr “resigned on his own accord” and “wasn’t pushed out or forced to resign,” according to a White House official. His afternoon meeting with Trump was described as “very amicable” by this official.

Barr’s resignation comes days after the President sent out these tweets:

The AP News dropped these details:

Attorney General William Barr, is resigning amid lingering tension with the president over the president’s claims of election fraud and the investigation into President-elect Joe Biden’s son.

Barr went Monday to the White House, where Trump said the attorney general submitted his letter of resignation. “As per letter, Bill will be leaving just before Christmas to spend the holidays with his family,” Trump tweeted.

Trump has publicly expressed his anger about Barr’s statement to The Associated Press earlier this month that the Justice Department had found no widespread election fraud that would change the outcome of the election. Trump has also been angry that the Justice Department did not publicly announce it was investigating Hunter Biden ahead of the election, despite department policy against such a pronouncement.

Maybe we will start seeing some prosecutions of corrupt Democrats by the new Attorney General Jeff Rosen.
