Owner Of Minneapolis Salon That Got Burned Down During Riots: Says “We Need The Police” After The City’s Decision To Defund The Police

It seems like the Black Lives Matter Marxist organization don’t think black-owned businesses matter.

An owner of a Minneapolis hair salon that was burned down by Black Lives Matter and Antifa rioters denounced the city’s decision to defund the police.

Flora Westbrooks was quoted in an interview with Fox News saying “we need protection and we need police”.

Her comments came after the city of Minneapolis will cut back over 8 million dollars to its police department.

Fox News covered Westbrook’s comments and shared these details:

The owner of a Minneapolis hair salon that was burned down during riots over the death of George Floyd denounced Friday the newly approved plan by city leaders to slash the police budget.

The Minneapolis City Council passed a budget Thursday that will cut its police funding by $8 million and use the money for mental health and violence prevention programs.

“We need police. … We need protection,” Flora Westbrooks, the owner of Flora’s Hair Designs, told “Fox & Friends,” noting that people feel less safe amid a surge in crime over the past year.

Westbrooks owned the salon for about four decades before her business was “burned to the ground due to civil unrest” in Minneapolis on May 29, according to a GoFundMe page set up to help her rebuild it.

Minneapolis experienced widespread protests against racism and police brutality — which often turned into riots — that were sparked after George Floyd, a Black man, died in Minneapolis police custody on May 25.

Breitbart News chipped in also:

A Minneapolis hair salon owner whose business was burned to the ground during the George Floyd riots is denouncing the city’s plan to cut the police budget.

“That’s terrible. I don’t think they should cut that $8 million from the police department. No. We need the police, we need them,” Flora Westbrooks said during an interview Friday on Fox & Friends.

When asked if she felt less safe now than she did prior to the unrest, Westbrooks explained, “I do. I feel less safe.”

“A lot of my friends I talk to and they’re not feeling safe right now and with this cutting the budget down to $8 million, they’re not with that either. Neither am I because we need protection here. And especially my community, where I live, yes,” she continued.

The Minneapolis City Council voted Thursday to slash $8 million from the police budget.

Instead of buying riot gear and spray paint BLM all over the place maybe rioters should support the black-owned businesses they destroyed.
