Michelle Obama WRONG, Claims Trump and Republicans Trying to Cheat in Election

Every single election, we have to hear from Democrats about the subject of voter suppression.

Making sure that voters bring an ID with them on Election Day?

Voter suppression!

Questioning the security of mass mail-in voting?

Voter suppression!

Now, at the DNC Convention, Michelle Obama has resorted to making even wilder claims.

During her speech, she implied that Trump and Republicans are closing down polling locations in minority neighborhoods.

She also claimed that they’re specifically sending people out to intimidate voters!

Check out the clip below where she makes this completely unsubstantiated claim:

Does anyone other than loony liberals believe these claims?

It would be a great opportunity to ask Michelle to provide evidence of these "voter intimidators."

Meanwhile, Fox News reports that the Associated Press has actually fact-checked some of Michelle's speech as false:

The Associated Press fact-checked Michelle Obama's Democratic National Convention speech after she condemned Trump for using "cages" to house migrant children at the U.S.-Mexico border while failing to note that the same facilities were used during her husband's administration.

“Michelle Obama assailed President Donald Trump on Monday for ripping migrant children from their parents and throwing them into cages, picking up on a frequent and distorted point made widely by Democrats,” the AP reported.

“She’s right that Trump’s now-suspended policy at the U.S.-Mexico border separated thousands of children from their families in ways that had not been done before,” the AP fact check continued. “But what she did not say is that the very same ‘cages’ were built and used in her husband’s administration, for the same purpose of holding migrant kids temporarily.”

The former first lady said Americans “watch in horror as children are torn from their families and thrown into cages.”

The AP noted that the “reference to cages is misleading and a matter that Democrats have persistently distorted” and Obama’s speech included the same misleading talking points.

“Trump used facilities that were built during the Obama-Biden administration to house children at the border. They are chain-link enclosures inside border facilities where migrants were temporarily housed, separated by sex and age,” AP fact-checkers wrote.

The AP then noted that photos famously circulated by Democrats “at the height of the controversy over Trump’s zero-tolerance policy at the border” were famously taken “in 2014 and depicted some of the thousands of unaccompanied children held by President Barack Obama.”

Take a look at some of the well-deserved criticism Michelle received on Twitter for her speech:

President Trump had some of his own words of criticism for Michelle.

In his response to her speech, he even claimed that it's her husband's fault that he won the election in 2016!

While President Trump has been an outstanding President in his own regard, there's probably some truth to the fact that many swing voters voted for Trump in 2016 because Obama did such an abysmal job.

Here's the story from Politico on Trump's response to Michelle Obama:

President Donald Trump responded Tuesday morning to former first lady Michelle Obama’s forceful rebuke of his character and leadership — claiming that he would not have been elected to the White House were it not for what he called the failings of her husband’s administration.

“Somebody please explain to @MichelleObama that Donald J. Trump would not be here, in the beautiful White House, if it weren’t for the job done by your husband, Barack Obama,” Trump wrote on Twitter.

“Biden was merely an afterthought, a good reason for that very late & unenthusiastic endorsement,” he added.

The president’s social media post came hours after the former first lady addressed the opening night of the Democratic National Convention, using her prerecorded keynote speech to cast Trump as a commander in chief dangerously deficient in empathy and experience.

“If you take one thing from my words tonight, it is this,” she said. “If you think things cannot possibly get worse, trust me, they can and they will if we don’t make a change in this election. If we have any hope of ending this chaos, we have got to vote for Joe Biden like our lives depend on it.”

Just as Michelle Obama’s remarks Monday represented her toughest indictment to date of her husband’s successor, Trump’s tweet Tuesday also appeared to be his most direct attack yet on the former first lady.

Trump targeted her again later Tuesday morning during a White House event commemorating the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, which guaranteed American women the right to vote.

The president said the former first lady was in “over her head” and ridiculed her for not having “made the speech live, which she didn’t do. She taped it.”

“She gets these fawning reviews. If you gave a real review, it wouldn’t be so fawning,” Trump said. “I thought it was a very divisive speech. Extremely divisive.”
