Bill Barr Orders Driver To Make U-Turn So He Can Thank Police Supporters!

Democrats may hold contempt for the police, but Republicans know our nation’s law enforcement officials are necessary for society to function.

Democrats associate with Black Lives Matter, an organization that paints police officers out to be murderers that need to be defunded and disbanded.

But Attorney General Bill Barr isn’t afraid to show his support of those that wear blue!

While driving in Virginia, Barr ordered his car to pullover so that he could greet people at a pro-police gathering.

Check out the story from Daily Mail:

Attorney General Bill Barr sent a political signal Thursday by pulling over to greet protesters at a ‘Back the Blue’ event near a police precinct in Virginia Thursday.

The gathering included people holding flags associated with ‘Blue Lives Matter,’ which supports police on a variety of issues and highlights those killed in the line of duty, and which gained prominence after ‘Black Lives Matter’ protesters swarmed the streets after the killing of George Floyd.

Justice Department press secretary Kerri Kupec posted video of the drop-by, and the Fairfax County Republican Party tweeted out an image from it.

‘That time you’re driving in Virginia and the Attorney General spots a group of people in front of a police precinct showing their support for the police …’ wrote Justice Kupec.

‘Can we make a quick U-turn? I want to jump out and thank these people,’ she says Barr told his government security detail.

In the video, a bespectacled Barr, wearing a dark suit, can be seen greeting demonstrators holding signs that said ‘Law and Order,’ ‘Back the Blue,’ ‘Defend the Police,’ and ‘Love the Blue – They Give their Lives for You.’

Here's tweets in response to Barr's appearance:

Barr knows that police officers risk their lives daily to protect us.

When grilled by Democrat Representative Sheila Jackson last month, Barr stated that he believed there isn't sytemic racism in America's police departments.

Law and Crime reports on Barr's exchange with Jackson:

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) asked Attorney General Bill Barr a couple lay-up questions about racism in American policing during a hearing before the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday.

“Does the Trump Justice Department seek to end systemic racism in law enforcement?” she queried. “I need a yes or no answer.”

Barr replied: “To the extent there is racism in any of our institutions in this country and the police, then obviously this administration is — will fully enforce –”

Lee then interjected to clarify: “So you agree that there may be systemic racism?”

“To the extent — in — where?” Barr pleaded. “Where?”

Through a bit of interrupting, Barr said this:  “I don’t agree there’s systemic racism in police departments — or generally in this country.”
