Patriot Throws Red Paint On 5th Ave BLM Mural

De Blasio used some of his city's savings on policing to clean the mess up.

The sick freaks in the liberal media will probably treat this next story with more contempt than the fact that children are being shot dead in our streets.

Some unchained, rabid racist, Brown Shirt Deplorable had the audacity to splash a little red paint on the holy shrine to BLM in front of Trump Tower.

Here's the story from The New York Post:

Mayor Bill de Blasio’s giant Black Lives Matter mural outside Trump Tower is already getting dumped on.

An unidentified man walked up to the giant mural outside the Midtown skyscraper and poured red paint on the bright yellow letters shortly after noon Monday, then ran off before cops showed up to survey the damage.

“I knew it was going to happen — there’s all this racist s–t going on,” construction worker Billy McCabe told The Post. “The mural shouldn’t have been done right in front of Trump Tower.”

The mural, announced by de Blasio earlier this month, has already become a flashpoint for face-offs between pro- and anti-Trump forces — including an ugly back-and-forth on Saturday.

De Blasio commissioned the mural last month, and on Thursday he was jeered by protesters as he helped paint the mural with first lady Chirlane McCray and the Rev. Al Sharpton.

Police said the assailant who vandalized the massive message Monday walked up Fifth Avenue at 12:13 p.m. wearing a black shirt and a black hat, dumped the paint, then ran down 56th Street, police said.

The blotch of paint, dumped between “Black” and “Lives,” was smeared over much of the mural by passing traffic.

“I wish I’d tackled him, but I’m old and fat so I didn’t,” said Paul Rossen, who wore a “Dump Trump” face mask and a BLM T-shirt and was selling anti-Trump merchandise nearby when the vandal showed up."

Vandals? LOL.

He was a peaceful protestor!!!

Here's CBS News' TDS edition covering the story:

Someone vandalized the Black Lives Matter mural on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, reports CBS New York. The move followed weekend clashes between supporters of the movement and pro-police demonstrators.

The mural was painted in front of Trump Tower last week to send a very clear message to the president. That message has created strong emotions.

On Monday night, cellphone video surfaced showing a man in daylight but partially disguised with a mask and hat splashing red paint on the mural, then running away.

Mayor Bill de Blasio addressed the incident on Twitter.

Crews restored the mural Monday.

"We're sitting here today in 2020 and we have to go through something like this. It's a shame. It's deplorable," one man said.

This comes after a weekend of altercations between "Back The Blue" pro-police protesters and Black Lives Matter sympathizers.

On Sunday, a fight erupted in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, where five people were arrested and charged, including a 41-year-old man who was Tased by police. Charges against him are pending.

The incidents have deepened the nationwide controversy over police reform."

Red paint is deepening the nationwide controversy?

How about all the police that keep being killed in ambushes across the country??

Don't worry New Yorkers, your tax money is goint to the Mayor's art projects, not keeping your streets safe from gun wielding thugs.

And what did De Blasio have to Tweet after some criminal vandalized a statue of the Virgin Mary?
