In a stunning statement, White House economid advisor Peter Navarro appeared to accuse Beijing of knowingly spreading COVID-19 within the United States.
Navarro pointed out that Beijing's actions suggest that they knew exactly how severe COVID-19 really was.
For example, they prevented domestic travel within China from Wuhan to Beijing or Shanghai.
Despite banning domestic travel, Beijing allowed Chinese nationalists "to sead and spread" coronavirus in the U.S., Navarro claimed.
His statements come as tensions between the United States and China are beginning to increase.
The Trump administration has made clear that they want to hold China responsible if they knowingly allowed the spread of this disease.
