Atlanta Rioters Burn Down Wendy’s Over Brooks’ Death

In more racially charged riots, Atlanta faced a night of chaos in the wake of Rayshard Brooks killing,

Another city was rocked by riots on Saturday night, this time in Atlanta, in response to the death of Rayshard Brooks.

As reported by our friends at Fox News:

Protests and destruction erupted in Atlanta on Saturday night in response to the police-involved shooting death of a 27-year-old man outside a Wendy’s fast-food restaurant.

Television images showed the restaurant on fire around 9:30 p.m. ET as rioters filled the parking lot where Brooks was shot by police as he fled after allegedly grabbing a stun gun away from an officer during a struggle.

Early Sunday, around 4 a.m. ET, the Wendy’s was seen burning again, Atlanta’s WGCL-TV reported.

Smaller fires were also seen in the area Saturday night.

Nearby, protesters gathered along University Avenue, with Atlanta police blocking access ramps to Interstate 85, apparently to keep the protesters off the roadway, FOX 5 of Atlanta reported.

Footage of the destruction can be seen here:

On Twitter, Atlanta police are offering an award for any information behind the arson and released images of a possible suspect:

Rioters destroyed property, created chaos, and put innocent lives in danger.

But many in the public only wanted to blame police:

But HUD Secretary Ben Carson has gone on the record stating the incident was not "clear cut."

The Saturday night riots were preceded by the Atlanta chief of police stepping down earlier in the day.

Our friends over at Breitbart had this to report:

Atlanta Police Chief Erika Shields stepped down on Saturday following Friday’s fatal incident.

“Out of a deep and abiding love for this City and this department, I offered to step aside as police chief,” she said in a statement. “I have faith in the Mayor, and it is time for the city to move forward and build trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve.”

See, it is no longer sufficient to just have police accountability in Dem controlled cities.

The lines of justifiable police force are continually being blurred in this rabid anti cop crusade.

What is clear is that major Dem controlled cities are descending into anarchy with little to no resistance by local governments.
