Democrats are not too happy with, well, Democrats these days!
As the already far left travels even farther left, they’re not just taking out their political aggression on Trump supports or MAGA hat wearers anymore.
The new face of the Democrat party – AOC – and her crew are turning against members of their own party for not impeaching Trump!
Now, it looks like others may be following in AOC’s footsteps, and the recent allegations made by California Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell may be evidence of this – if true.
The failed presidential nominee claims that while traveling aboard a United Airlines plane, a passenger came up to him, punched him in the shoulder, and demanded that he impeach Trump!
Swalwell tweeted the following about the incident:
Eric Swalwell is fresh off a failed presidential campaign, and his tweet has spurred a lot of skepticism.
In any case, if Swalwell's allegation is true, then it only serves to make Trump-impeachment-pursuers look even worse!
Whether it is true or not, the alleged Swalwell-punching incident seems to be spurred on by a renewed call from leftists to impeach Trump following the whistleblower complaint that he inappropriately pressured the Ukrainian president to investigate Joe Biden.
President Trump has confirmed that yes, as president he did have a long phone call with the president of the Ukraine (a president doing his job? Scandalous!) but that he did not do or say anything improper during it.
The Washington Examiner has more to say about Swalwell's claim and the context surrounding the alleged incident:
California Rep. Eric Swalwell says he was “punched” in the shoulder by an airline passenger who demanded that Democrats begin impeaching President Trump.
Swalwell tweeted that the interaction happened early Monday while he was boarding a United Airlines flight.
“A passenger boarding the @united plane I’m on just stopped in front of me, punched my shoulder, and said ‘you all better get your act together and impeach him,’” Swalwell said.
House Democrats who have not supported impeaching the president appear to be moving toward doing so after the revelation of a whistleblower complaint about a phone call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Trump reportedly urged Zelensky eight times to work with his personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, on an investigation into Hunter Biden, the son of Trump’s potential 2020 rival Joe Biden.
Trump acknowledged to reporters on Sunday that he did discuss Biden with Ukraine’s president: “The conversation I had was largely congratulatory, with largely corruption, all of the corruption taking place and largely the fact that we don’t want our people like Vice President Biden and his son creating to the corruption already in the Ukraine.”
As to Swalwell's credibility, The Daily Caller noted:
The former presidential candidate has made news in the past over his tweets, including one instance where he made a veiled threat to nuke people that don’t comply with a gun ban.
Swalwell recently dropped out of the presidential race after struggling to get past 1 percent in the polls.
