CBS: Everyone Christine Blasey Ford Identified Said 1982 Party NEVER Happened

In a newsflash to Dems trying to get Kavanaugh impeached on sexual assault allegations, CBS News pointed out that all four of the people that Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford identified as witnesses at the 1982 party the night of the alleged incident now say that the party never happened.

Not only that, but at least one of these people identified by Ford, her “close friend” Leland Keyser says she does not believe Ford’s accusation against Kavanaugh and only ever testified for her because Ford threatened to run her through the mud if she didn’t!

Take a look at this important detail noted by CBS’ Jan Crawford in this news clip:

The Blaze has more to say about the whole sticky situation and the fact that all of the people Ford identified deny that the party happened:

Leland Keyser told the FBI last year that she was pressured into saying she believed her friend Christine Blasey Ford's allegations of sexual assault against Justice Brett Kavanaugh, a charge that amounts to witness tampering.

The bombshell allegation was first reported in the book "Justice on Trial: The Kavanaugh Confirmation and the Future of the Supreme Court" by Mollie Hemingway and Carrie Severino, but received new life Monday after CBS confirmed the claim.

According to CBS News reporter Jan Crawford, Keyser did not believe Ford's story, but publicly said she did only because Ford's allies threatened her.

"Speaking for the first time to the [New York Times], Ford's close friend Leland Keyser, who Ford said was at the party [where Ford alleged Kavanaugh assaulted her] said she didn't believe Ford's account and that it 'just didn't make any sense.' She said she also told the FBI Ford's allies pressured her to say otherwise," Crawford reported.

However, it's not clear who pressured Keyser or what threats were made against her.

Daily Wire also stated:

A new book written by two New York Times journalists, an excerpt of which has sparked a media firestorm and much criticism directed at the paper, contains details that CBS describes as the "real bombshell" the Times' initial report missed. The long-time "close friend" of Christine Blasey Ford, who Ford named as a potential witness to the alleged sexual assault by Brett Kavanaugh back in high school, not only says she does not believe Ford's accusation, but told the FBI that allies of Ford threatened her with a smear campaign to change her story.

Leland Keyser, a long-time "close friend" of Ford, is one of four people Ford named as supposedly being at the alleged party where she said Kavanaugh tried to force himself on her. In its report Monday, CBS Evening News notes that with Keyser's first public statements on her friend's allegations, which she gave in an interview with Times reporters Robin Pogrebin and Kate Kelly, all four of the people Ford claims were at the party now flatly deny that it ever happened.

As The Daily Wire reported Monday, Keyser also says that Ford's allies attempted to pressure her to change the story, telling the FBI that those allies even threatened to mount a smear campaign against her if she didn't — a claim previously revealed by Mollie Hemingway and Carrie Severino in their book, "Justice on Trial: The Kavanaugh Confirmation and the Future of the Supreme Court."

In a tweet Monday promoting the CBS report, CBS's Jan Crawford underscored the "real bombshell" highighted by the network (h/t Ed Morrissey): "We report tonight the real bombshell: Christine Ford’s close HS friend (who Ford says was at the party when Kavanaugh allegedly assaulted her) said Ford’s story is not believable and told the FBI Ford’s allies pressured her, threatened her with a smear campaign to say otherwise."
